but they will stick out, a 10.5W is wide tire and on a 12" Rim will tuck nicely and give you about 1" clearance to the LCA and fender well.

depends on how much you narrow your rear end. stock BS is 7.5

i have 5" BS wheels and it's narrowed 3.5"/side and it tucks nicely

A 12" rim won't fit on a stock width rear end, I don't even think they make them with that much back space, that's like 8.5 or 9.5".

why do you want to go to all the trouble of mini tubbing the car and putting a big *** tire, but not narrowing the rear?

Mainly because I bought a roller and it already had mini tubs. and I have a stock length 9" I'm putting in it. as long as I can get a 29x10.5 slick UNDER IT I will be very happy. I may get stuck with the 28x10.5w

i have seen 4th gens with no mini tub and stock width housing with 10.5x29.5 (non W). Why not just have someone local narrow the housing a couple inches, the axles on mine can be shortened 2" with the splines that are on there so it wont cost much.

May as well use those mini-tubs if you have them..

Default 295's + stock length rear + Bogarts = ???

Would it work or are we talking major cutting on the body?

thanks for the replies. I have asked everyone even wolfe and no one can tell me anything. if I could just shortin my axles (moser 9" 31 spline) that would be awesome..I just don't want to have a ton of money rapped up in it. (cutting, new Axel's, rims, etc.)

Mount tires on your rims, put on car, then measure to the closest point on the inside (Usually LCAs). Use that measurement to determine how much has to come off...

then all you are paying for is shortening a set of axles and having a few inches cut off the housing and the housing end reinstalled

also may want to consider an axle upgrade at some point...dunno how much power you plan on making but 31spline isn't that strong...

Well the housing has to be narrowed too naturally, local guys here charge 150 to do it on a jig if they can re-use your ends. Not sure what the housing ends cost these days if they cant. Have to look at your own axles to see how much you can take off but an inch, inch and a half should be no problem and that will bring your 7.5BS wheels in enough where a 10.5W wont stick out bad.

I was going to mini tub and do just that, I can care less about the 'dish' on the wheel. I just wanted to move the tires more under the car and not buy a new housing, axles and wheels.
