How are they fine as to load? Stock tires are rated @ 1650 MAX load. The VW tires have a 1200 MAX load rating. That's almost 1000 lbs difference for the front 2 tires.
I highly doubt you will notice a bit of difference in ET or MPH running the Sportsmans on a 700 hp car.

I might add, my car has ALOT of weight reduction, especially off the front end, not that it makes it completely safe but it definitely helps a little.
The farthest I have driven my car with those kind of tires on the street is around 25 miles, I trailer it to the track but it has trapped as high as 138.
I have also ran 9's in a car with no cage or even a seatbelt on. When it's your time to go it's gonna happen either way.

VW tires were NOT made to come slamming back to the ground after they are yanked in the air then pushed to over 140MPH ![Winky](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_wink.gif)
Your life roll the dice I will keep the M/Ts

DS-2 if it is only a trailer car. MT Sportsman 8-ply if you run them on the street
I have a good bit of weight off of the front end and the 4-ply tires didnt work for me.
They looked under inflated and why the heck would I risk a $35k investment on saving a little money on some cheap tires that arent even designed for our cars

8 ply for a full weight heavy car, 4 ply for lighter....
D2s and ET Fronts for track only. They drive like crap on the street and wear out fast when you street drive them. They handle poorly on the highway. Been there done that years ago.
