Like the girlfriend said, cool build. We should meet up when both cars are complete for some grudge racing. Very similiar builds.

I just hope it runs out without any problems... then we'll push it for what it's worth. I'm hoping to be the first carb'd cam-only in the top 10 list... I'm a dreamer.

Well... I had to put the cover back on the car and come back to work for 14 days. I've got the motor bolted to the kmember with the headers and all installed. When I get home all I need to do is mount the new shifter and let the car down over the engine.

I can't believe I tried to sell this thing!?!?! All it took was for one man to come over with the money and it inspired me to keep it and finish it. I was practically giving it away and the guy that came to get it completely understood... he even upped his offer $2500. He said he knew how it felt to get deep in a project and lose your inspiration, he's a good guy, he's actually the man I bought the car from 4 yrs ago.

Anyways, it feels good to be back at it. I just need to get it done before my new twins get here... Doc told the wife he's taking them on Feb 18th @ noon if something doesn't happen before then. Two boys, Joshua and Caleb, to add to the family. Already got a 8yo girl and 5yo boy now.

Life is good!

finally got the motor and trans back in the car last night... also installed the tach and shifter in the interior. The shifter is the B&M Stealth Pro Ratchet and was a breeze to install.

Fuel system fittings and carb are on the way. I did alot of research and decided to go with the QuickFuel Qseries race carb, 750 cfm. They got it all set up and shipped it today so it should be here by Friday.

What's left? U-joints, fluids, wire everything, mount trans cooler, install carb and lines, make a towing point, install the nose, bleed the brakes, yada, yada... it won't be long!

Looking a lot different than it did last year!!

That things gunna go alot faster then you think... 4400 converter at 3000lbs, with that cam and intake, and all of the other purley racing inspired things you have, im saying on a day where the DA is 0 (if that ever happenes wherever your racetrack is), that you could easily be goin 10.60's-10.70's at 124-125 mph. You could lift at the 1000 foot and still run an 11.xx pass.

Unless you have done some serious gutting and weight mods I doubt it unless you are talking about 3,000 with no driver.

I could be wrong... I've never had this car on scales. But when it's thru, I'll post up the weight.

The cowl is hacked to the max... makes for alot more room to work. On down the road I plan on building some little brackets for a make shift set of wipers for a legit inspection.

Look what showed up this morning

Ran into a couple of small issues last night. Mostly placement issues in the engine bay: coil packs, ignition box, regulator. I feel like I've got it worked out... more pics as I go
