I got the Moser 9", Strange brakes, and wheels/tires mounted up today. The rears are 325/50 MT DR's. Still got to get the swaybar on the rear, but I got here good and centered up today. Put the new VFN hood on and adjusted the fenders to best fit I could get. I'm glad to be finally going back the other way with this thing. I pushed it out to clean the shop and decided to take a few pics.

Here's a few of the "Hauling Unit"

I'll keep this thread updated as I go. Feel free to give me any thoughts on what this thing may do

Stock cubic in, stock bottom end... basically cam-only with a carb. Alternator will be the only accessory on the crank. All the AC, PS, ABS stuff is gone. Full interior with Kirkeys. I could be off on the wt

Strange rear brakes installed.. still got to plumb the lines

Getting ready to drop the stock k-member

Here's the little dolly I made for the k-member... works good and cheap

Got the steering rack off with the PS delete mod. (Thought someone may be interested to see how I did it)

K-member and front susp out. Getting ready to start with the UMI k-member, a-arms, and QA1 stuff.

I'm hoping to have the front end installed this week.

You will be in the high 10's at 120 - 122 mph. My buddie has a cam only car that is atleast 3400 lbs and i have driven it to an 11.17 @ 120. It went a 10.34 on a 150 shot. So if you are as light as you think you will be, you will be happy.

I got the front suspension all bolted in tonight... I've got to pull the upper a-arms back out and adjust them in about 1". I'm trying to pull the front wheels in 1 1/2" to have them inside the fenders. I set the lower arms perfect the first time and ended up having to turn in the ends of the steering rack 8 turns on each side.
It's gonna look sweet when I get it all adjusted out. Pics are coming when it's in, before and after for the k-members

Welp, after leaving her be for about 2 months I've decided to get back after it. It took someone coming over to buy it to get me back in the game. I've got the engine bay painted, brakes are plumbed(abs delete), got me some 3" exhaust clamps and installed the rear sway bar, got the dzus holes done down both sides of the new hood, assembled and painted the motor, mocked the new shifter up and checked the throw, mated up the motor and trans, changed the 12mm studs in the rear axles to 1/2".

Trying to figure out were to mount the tranny cooler. I'm scared that the -6an 45's I have for the trans aren' going to clear the tunnel.

Here's some pics from the last two days:

Here can see how I trimmed the racecraft dzus rails in order to keep the lip on the VFN hood... worked well

It'll be another long one tomorrow.

Looking good man! I can't wait to get my hood mounted up with the Dzus fasteners and racecraft rails.

I looked at stainless fastener kits from some aftermarket companies for the engine, then I went priced them at a construction bolt company.... wayyyy cheaper for the same bolts from the bolt company. I like the way the stainless socket heads look on the motor. You can get bolts for the front cover, valley cover, rear cover, oil pan, motor mounts, and headers for about 30 bucks.
