Pulled dash, car won't start

I put this here because you guys would know more about having the dash out then most.

1998 Trans Am

My dash is currently out as we put a 10 pt in. This morning I started it and it ran just fine. Then I pulled the negative off the battery for about an hour and tried to start it again. It would "ding" with the key and the locks worked but the windows would not roll up or down, the fuel pump didn't prime, and of course the car wouldn't start.

The two ground wires are connected on the driver's side.

One ground wire is connected on the passenger side.

HVAC is completely out, controls and everything.

Airbags are out.

AIR and EGR are removed.

It is just frustrating that it started just fine before then all of a sudden it won't. Thanks in advance guys.

Check and see if the body control module is dissconnected on the right side of the dash. Also check for the ground wires that go to a stud on the right side kick panel. Is the security light on the dash flashing?.

The bcm is connected I tried that from my initial searches and I forgot to mention that the gauge cluster does not work at all.

Still sounds like the BCM, same thing happened to me. Maybe it vibrated loose?

Alright, I'll check it out tomorrow. It just has three connections correct? Also, there are only three ground wires under the dash right?

unplugged and plugged in bcm, checked the one ground on right and two on left, pulled gauge cluster and put it back in and nothing, this is frustrating

wow, we looked at them twelve times but I just pulled each one and found a 50 amp blown, sob if that's it

I do what I can....

Glad you got it fixed, I remember when I pulled my HVAC and accidentally pulled the BCM with it. I was like "Oh ****, I'm screwed now".
