Default Help with ET Streets - Trouble Hooking

I went to the track friday and made 3 NA runs and every time I spun horribly. 2.0 60's. I've get 2.0's on my street tires! I launched from 5.5k, 5k, and 4.5k rpms. I did a nice smokey 2nd gear burn out each time with my new line lock. I started out a 16 PSI but it went up to 18 after the first run. I took it down to 15 PSI after that and still spun. Should I go lower on the PSI or maybe lower RPMS?

Tires: MT ET Streets 28X11.50-16LT (non-radial)

all mods in sig except I didn't spray. front sway endlink removed

Thanks
Nick

11-12 psi.

11 psi in these photos. I have gone as low as 9.5 Don't worry about the low psi., by the time you do your burn out and stage the tire psi has gone up 2 to 4 psi depending on how hot the track is. As far as your burn out do a short spin in the water to get the tires wet then pull foward and do your burn out

WAY too much air for a bias tire, your running DR air pressure, start at 13 & drop 1 psi at a time from there.

Thanks for the advice. I'll give the lower pressure a try, hopefully this friday, and let you all know how it does.

Don't forget that tire psi. that works for a auto won't always work for a stick.Start at 13 psi for a starting point and drp 1lb. at a time

Default update

I did a lot better tonight. I started at 12 PSI cold and spun a little. Next 12 PSI hot spun a little less. 3rd run 11 PSI hot, 5800 RPMs, dead hook and lifted the front end, but then bogged down to like 3k. 1.8 60'. I wish I could've ran more. My car has never hooked that good before! I might actually spray it next time. Thanks for the help guys!

Nice, launch on spray and that bog will go away. I launch at 6,00rpm when I spray but every car is different. I also pull 1.4 60ft.'s
