Default plan on killing some myths...

car in sig with lid and flowmaster muffler only went 13.4 @ 109 on street tires. i am adding 01 manifolds, a mac ory, ls6 intake and bfg drag radials to the equation (don't ask why i'm switching manifolds, it's not because i want to). also will remove air/egr. stock tune. stock everything else other than lowering springs. ET is a bad judgement of the car, as it is sitting on what i think are sportlines that have been heated. the car literally sits 2" off the ground - aka NO weight transfer and it bounces around (fishtailing and bouncing at the same time) violently on the 1-2 and 2-3 shift. i am afraid on DRs i will break something haha but whatever. i'm your average joe, i don't have a shop, hardly drive the car even..only made 4 passes in it, ever. no tricks.

what i'm after:

manifold differences (gains?)
intake differences (gains?)
also; hope to prove these cars don't need headers to go 110 at full weight.

on a stock car i don't think either make a difference. we'll see. i would think removing the cats and adding these mods would put the car above 110mph at the traps, but we shall see. it is really a simple mod car that unfortunately ran with my stalled bolt-on a4 car from a roll. it trapped 110 pretty consistently and this ******* trans am was at the door the whole time...with literally 0 time invested and a $100 lid. car had the springs and muffler on it when it was purchased (wife's car). any bets? it's an august i think 98 build car haha.

I've seen 111 from lid, FTRA and 'dyna-mouth' in an 02 WS6 M6 in decent weather. I didn't know that needed to be proven?

i guess i am referring to the area. central indiana. 2500'+ da ftl.

i am mainly out after the manifold differences and ls1/ls6 intake deal. every looks down on stock manifolds and the ls1 intake like they're junk. i disagree.

going from stock exhaust manifold to qtp headers and ORY i only gaind 15rwhp and i knew that is all they were going to be worth...

when i was stock internal will all bolt ons except headers still had the stock manifolds and cats... went 11.72 at 115mph at a raceweight of 3365...da was -800ish...so 110 mph is not a problem at all...

ram air helped about 15rwhp-20rwhp...

the whole exhaust was stock with the exception of a cutout
