Aerospace Brake ???
I have the Aerospace front brakes and i guess i have the old kit with out the ""Billet Aluminum Hubs with screw on dust caps""
Are the Hubs something new??
Can i order the Hubs and Dustcaps seperate??
Anyone know a Part ##??
I hate the Rusty stock Hub and it Bothers me (Right Shawn)
Looks nasty with the new wheels and i want it to look like this...
Thanks
Kyle

I have the same brakes, I just cut down some M/T centercaps so they didnt stick out 6 inches.
Best to sell off the brakes you have and buy the hub style if thats what you want then buying the parts you need most likely.
I'm sure American has a center cap that will fit, may have to cut it down some so it doesnt look dorky.

The pic above is the new design and its more parts then just tthe hub.
i was told pretty much olny the rotors would swap over....
The old kit that i have is part # AC-261 Retails @ $635
The new kit is part # AC-262 and retails for $960

yeah but you can get it cheeper then that at Burkhart, I did a lot of calling around looking for the best price and Burkhart was hands down the best price I found for the hub style areospace brakes...

I bought the new hub style ones, I have some pictures on the computer at home, I will try to post them up tonite.
The new ones replaces everything, the hub, caliper, brakes, etc.etc. The only piece that is left is the stock spindle itself, which while the car is apart, you can grind down to get all the rust off and paint, which makes it look about a million times better.
The brakes went together very easy, all the parts are of very good quality, the hubs have a bolt pattern in them for 5x4.75 and 5x4.5 so ya have alot more rim selection, if that matters.
I think the front brakes took like 55 lbs off the front of my car when I did them, I was very happy with the weight reduction.
I did the rear brakes and manual master cylinder all at the same time, bought all the parts thru Burkhart. I am very happy with how well the brakes stop my 3330 lb car, from 140 down if I wanted to I probably could make the first turnoff at my local track if I wanted to I think they stop that good. I won't ever test that out, but with the way they feel I think it could.
The rotors have turned color a little bit now that I've used them for a while, but nothing terrible. NO pulsing or anything so they didn't warp at all.
I'm very happy with the brakes, for the 300 bucks less it cost me then what the strange were gonna cost I think I did pretty good, the weight loss was within a couple lbs of what the strange would be, stopping power is good, and they haven't missed a beat yet.

i requested the hard pads and i hardly have any dust after a track night stopping from 100mph 1/8 mile.
they dont "bite" as good when you 1st step on the brakes as a soft pad... but its give and take.....

Mine came with the harder pads, I didnt like the waiting for them to bite when bracket racing and swapped them to the softer pads (I forget the hawk designation). Except for a harder bite at first I notice little difference from the hard pads really, except they do seem to be wearing a little quicker then the hard pads but I never get any noticeable brake dust on the wheels after a weekend of racing. I stop from 120+ in the 1/8 or 150 or so in the 1/4, drove it quite a bit when I first them on and have made back to back 150mph 1/4 mile passes and never had either pad fade where i noticed it.
