Default Who has the lowest 60" on a 255-50-16 ET Street Radial? How low can you go?

Just wondering how far have people pushed the 255-50-16 MT ET Street Radial and when it becomes necessary to step up to the 275-50-15 ET Street Radial on a set of drag radials.

I have gone 1.630 with a bolt on A4 car on stock suspension...

Im sure they have been mid 1.5Xs with alot of cars, but has anyone taken the 255-16 ET Street Radial to 1.4X 60"s?

A buddy of mine has went 1.49 with his on the nitrous. I have went 1.43 60ft. with the 275/50/15 on the motor. If you can get some 15 inch welds or bogarts the 275/50/15 will hook better and more consistant.

Was your buddy on the 255-16 or 275-15?

He was on 255-16. He has countless 1.50-1.53s with them as well so he has backed up his 60fts. several times. He has a cam only setup with a 100 shot dry setup. He runs the car at full weight with nothin taking out (3700lbs.).

Mine is Cam only 22X 23X 114LSA, 150-175 Wet hit, FLT Lvl 5 4L65E, Vigilante 3600, PA K member/Chromoly uppr/lwr Adjustable A-Arms, D/A Chromoly LCAs and PHB, Spohn chassis mount TQ Arm, QA1'sw/275lb springs, Air bag in passenger side of car, 3280 raceweight w/driver. Prostars up front stock chrome 5 spokes out back, 3.42'd 10 Bolt. New setup should be finished by the end of September. Should have it to the track in October

Car should make ~550RWHP and 5XXRWTQ on the unit...

If I can Squeeze a 1.45-1.49 60" I believe the car should have 10.50's or better in it.

Am I on the high side or low as far as predicting my ET?

I'm going to put these mini radials to work

BFG radials are junk. I tried a set a few months ago because the M/T were on backorder, needless to say i sold them as soon as i could. Went from 1.4 60fts. to 1.70 60fts.

I went 11.26@119 cam only years ago at 3350lbs. so a 150 shot on that should knock off 1 second easy,so i think mid 10s for you should be doable.

Hate to say it but your probably going to have to run a 275/50/15 before it's said and done. It will be a hit and miss on your 60fts. on a average track and nothing is more annoying to me to hit 2 good 60fts. out of 10 runs

Yea that was the reason I went with them. Best I got was 1.62. Once I got the cam in, they will not hook. I really hate buying tires coming towards the end of the season but if there is that big of difference between the 2 I will. Im so damn close to 11s with a 12.06 LOL

I went 1.48 on MT 255/50/16's last year. 1.51-1.53's were routine. I'm switching to Hoosier's 16" DR and hope to do better.

I've been 1.49 on all stock suspension and mt 255-50-16's hitting 150 rwhp shot off the line with a heavy heads and cam car. Since then i went to a fab 9 and 275-50 15's and can't hook it. Spinning off the line with a best 1.57 60 ft.
