Rapid / ARE Rule N/A 9.735 @ 138.74!!!
Went to Cecil County Dragway Friday even though I swore I would never go there on a street night. We have had 5 days of straight rain here and the Cecil tech guy told me they would not prep the track on a street night. Went and checked out the pad and there was no stick, none at all. Visions of sliding into the wall popped into my head. About 5 weeks ago, I ran a 9.89 @ 134+ at Maple Grove in 94 degree heat and 80 something humidity. Same weight @ 3223 lbs. Weather at Cecil was 74 degrees, high 50's humidity and a fairly low baro at 29.98. Got into the lanes early and was luck enough to follow a Pro Mod who laid out some serious rubber. First pass off the trailer went:
60' 1.390
330' 4.017
1/8: 6.220
MPH: 111.54
1000': 8.124
1/4: 9.741
MPH: 139.30
This pass yeilded a nasty wheelstand but was able to ride it out.
Made two more passes and had traction problems that cost me 2 thenths. Multitudes of rice boy punks showed up and tore up what little rubber was there.
Last pass of the night, there was dew forming on the cars with a temp of 63 degrees (not sure what that means). Heated the tires real good to a new best:
60: 1.384
330': 4.008
1/8: 6.205
MPH: 111.68
1000': 8.112
1/4: 9.735
MPH: 138.74
Thanks to ARE for this nasty motor and to Derek at TCS for the new converter... Thanks also to Fireball (Brian) who helped me work through some problems and for taking the video.
Video is coming, I need to digitize it.

Nice job Mikey. ARE rocks!!
My ARE H/C is still running strong after 2.5 years. Just had my A-4 redone by FLP and the car went 11.01 at 122.5 in 2200 ft air and 3340 lbs.
Are you running at Thunder?

Thanks everyone.
Just pulled all the plugs and #5 and #7 ground straps were burned off so that may explain the MPH decrease. I've had some problems with 5 and 7. Not sure what's going on but time to do some dyno work.
Also had alot of oil on the trailer floor. Turns out the oil filter o-ring was bad. Never saw that before.
Hope to see everyone at Thunder.

Who weighs 2900, Richie? 2900 lbs is FAT! J/K
That's some awesome MPH for such a heavy car, Mikey. Congrats. I bet you'll hit 9.5s in cold weather.
