Default Check my graph, where should I shift?

Here is my dyno graph, and here is the HPTuners log of the first pass I did on this motor. Not sure if I should be shifting elsewhere in my power band for an optimal 1/4 mile time.

It looks like I was shifting around 7020-7090 and the extensions were droping me down to around 5880-5900.

Input appreciate!

This motor is capable of spinning to 8000rpm all day without any issues or valve float. It's completely solid roller and carries the curve nicely. I do have a graph of a pull to 7500 rpm's.

Would I benefit at the track from shifting any higher than I currently am?

How can you say just because he has an A4 that his motor will drop to 3700. There are to many factors to guess at that, the major one being the converter. Even knowing the size of the converter it could slip more than one that is built identical...

As I mentioned in my first post, It droped me down to around 5900~

Would shifting it higher drop down to a higher number, or is the converter a limiting factor on where it will drop to.

The higher you shift, the higher it will be rpm wise after the shift. Ideally you'd like it to not drop out of it's powerband after the shift.

Thanks. This tells me I was possibly shifting too soon. Oh well, next year!

If it is peaking at or not falling off until 7,500, I beat it will go faster if you shift it at 8,000 or more.
I would try making a two runs then move up the shift points 200 rpm and make two more runs, if it goes fast, raise it another 200 rpm.
Keep going up until it does not go faster or remains the same or you hit you max rpm comfort level.

It pretty much holds flat to 7500 or more. We only ran it to 7500 cause it wasnt picking up anything extra.
