The heads he is using seem to be working just fine to me. Not top of line by any means, but still have good flow numbers to them. Enjoy!

Well, it's only about $1200-1500 more than he likely paid for the heads on that are on the engine currently. I'd put money against the engine picking up 59hp/40ftlbs with a head swap is all I'm saying. Worth SOME power? Yes. But nowhere near that much.

dang those are some real good numbers, if some tf 235's will only pick up 20/20 why even lay down the extra money?

He will pick up more than 20hp. I swapped from ETP 225 heads to Trick Flow 235's, wemt from a Comp 244/248 cam to a 248/252, added an EWP and put CATS back on the car and went from 492/466 to 540/480. I haven't seen a car yet make big HP with Patriot heads. I would bet $50 he would gain more than 20hp going from a run of the mill head to the Trickflow 235's. I would say he would be in the 30-40hp range...

I know I didn't get 50 hp from the heads. I would be willing to say I gain 25 from the heads though. I also upgraded from a premium head ETP 225 not a Partiot Head. Take a browse in the 408 sticky with what power the 408 are putting down. The Patriot headed cars make on average 480hp the TrickFlow cars are all well over 500hp. When the guy decides to swap to the Trickflow 235's, you let me know and I will be more than happy to take your money!!!

that should never happen nobody should spend 2500+ for 30-40 hp just spray it i think it would gain about 25 with better weather conditions also

Hope you trust who is building it. I would never let anyone stick a cam in my motor without knowing the specs on it first.

My car has a set of stage 3 patriot heads and it made 540 through a 12 bolt w/ 4.10's ,steel drive shaft,on slicks. But i do agree with you that there is more power to be made out of this combo. With a header change and a custom cam made for the TFS heads and a set of the 225's i think he can pick up at least 40 rwhp.
