New Solid Roller Dyno results! 600RWHP!!
Don't have a lot of free time left to post.
We finally got a chance to start doing some tuning on the motor today. This isn't on no stinky dynojet. This is a full brake load dyno that bolts to the axles. Full load capabilities, and monitoring out the wazzzzooooooo!
Keep in mind 422, now built for N20..running heavy internals, cammed specifically for n20. What we learned real fast. the 42lb'er weren't near enough. what we learned next...the famous "Pain" ramair...too much restriction to airflow. Then the 80mm TB is as well. I had to leave early, but just got a call from dad that the car has laid down several runs in the upper 590's, just a few shy of 600rwhp. Wonder what that would be on a dynojet? Needless to say I'm VERY pleased, and they are still playing.
Oh yeah almost forgot, this dyno told us real quick the TC is probably fubar too. Too many details and not enough time. bottom line...we had fun, the motor is making good power N/A, and can't wait to see what she does on the spray!
Now the real reason for this post! I'm hoping Joe K. is doing well enough to get on here and call me a dyno queen! Get well soon Joe!
*EDIT...JUST GOT THE CALL BACK WE JUST HIT THE 600RWHP MARK..HELL YEAH !!

The motor is a 422 built by Extreme Machine in Clealake Texas. The intake is sheetmetal, throttle body is a BBK 88mm. It is too small. We are looking at a 105mm piece so hopefully we can pick up 35rwhp more. It has a solid roller from Cam Motion and the compression is 14 to 1.
Zoo Tycoon the chassis is already certified now all we need is the driver to get his license.

nice! what kind of cam, intake,TB would you recomend for a 10.8:1 422, with 300 cfm ls1 heads. the ultimate goal is the most HP possible, on pump gas.

It's good to see a 422 putting out this kind of power. Considering that a H/C car can make the HP numbers that some strokers and big cube motors can make it's good to see someone build a big power big cube motor.
Congrats! Throw up a dyno sheet of that thing, so we see at what RPM that puppy makes 600rwhp!

Was it on a Mustang dyno by chance? They are absolutely brutal on automatics. We tuned mine on one and I was shocked at the difference in readings over the Dynojet. On manuals it's much better but kicks the crap out of automatics for some reason. In all honesty, blast it down the track and post your times and weight. There are some slick calculators out there that can get you the HP and it should be dead on with a Dynojet.
Congrats on the setup, can't wait to see it run!
