Very stout. You have some good parts and some masters building and tuning. No wonder the results are strong.

Clean shorts...lol

I asked Erik to build me a 10.0 motor and gave him the cars details (car is only certified to 10.0). I have no idea what it will run if it hooks. I do expect 135+ trap speeds with this Rossler lockup tranny. Circle D re-worked and re-stalled the 5 disk PI lockup converter to 4C for Chris's 383 before he spun a rod bearing. It stalled to around 4500 off the brake with a few less ponies.

I did my homework and decided this time around to go with the best I could find. I had too many unexpected build problems the last time I decided to do a build.

I was very happy with most of the vendors I have dealt with for advice, parts, and one even made me an instructional "how to" video.

I think with that power and tranny combo you might be exceeding 10.0's unless you back it down a bit. That is a stout setup!

BLACK2001z06 - Just out of curiosity/comparison sake what kind of power did your HKE built motor make, and what did she do at the track ??

To the original poster, that SOB should leave the line quicker then greased lightning !!!! Sounds like you got a real monster.

That would be the question of the hour...
We just fired up the motor last night.
Stay tuned to find out as I will post results and video's soon.
My build is nothing too radical, but rather just a simple combo that will suffice for the time being.
I would be more than estatic to produce the numbers found above!

not sure exactly how far out it was honed so 427-430 CI with a 4" inch stroke

We did not dyno it unlocked. This is a switch activated lockup tranny and converter. Pulls 2-4 mph extra on the big end. Or, at least it did for the previous owner and his 383.

Those are some nice results. How much did that trans cost you? I've liked the idea of a lockup TH for a while.
