Thanks man. Yeah, nothing spectacular, but pretty good and about what I expected. For the record, the Vette Doctors DD has been proven to put out basically the same numbers as DJ SAE numbers, if anything a bit lower.

Dyno number's aside I can tell you, and not that it wasn't fast before, but the car feels like a f'ing rocket now, especially with the DR's out back now. The mid-range in particular is nasty. And the Centerforce DF clutch is great. It grabs like a MF'er...so quick and so firm. The first few gears are like bam, bam and your flying. But whats even more noticeable is how hard it hits into 4th gear compared to how it was before. Not sure if its the clutch or the H/C or a combo of both.
Any criticism I might have is that the top end surprisingly doesn't feel that potent... Doesn't seem to increase that much into the upper rpm's. Could just be an illusion so to speak b/c the power feels so linear.
But what was most important to me was low-mid range sine my car is just a street car and it definitely has that.

SWEET! Thats pretty close to the setup I have sitting at home waiting to be put in in the next couple weeks! only difference will be my cam is 230/232 .592/.595 111lsa and I will be running an rps twin friction clutch/flywheel,blackwing, and svo30's. Other then that same headers, heads intake/tb, Mines an 02 z06. I hope to make 440-450whp

Nice dyno numbers! Yeah the 228r cam can surprise alot of people. My brother went cam and full bolt on only with the 228r in his 02 m6 z28 and dynoed 411rwhp with tsp's tune. I love the power curve of that cam, perfect for 6spd cars to daily drive. Thing is i wish they made a version thats bigger lift and more duration, like a big brother to it. So it got me thinkin bout checkin in on custom grindin one to maybe a .595/.595, maybe 232/232 not sure durations though but with a 112ls, or maybe go with a .600 lift.

Thanks guys & thanks Jon & Matt. Pretty sure they were milled to 60cc which is what Jon recommended. Also, just as a side note, I sent back the original 7.4 pushrods after Dennis at the vette docs measured and said I need smaller 7.35's. And my car is a 2001 Z06, and yes they are the new stage 2.5 5.3's.

Nice numbers! Very impressive torque...I like how the graph starts so soon and shows how shes doing in the lower revs. Did you consider having the stock LS6 heads worked over first? What LSA?

Thanks guys. My first thought was to have my LS6 heads ported so I asked Dennis @ the Vette Doctors what that would cost and the guy they use quoted $1500. More than I really wanted to spend at that point since I never even planned on a cam let alone heads (car was there for GM warranty work to replace the pistons because of oil blow-by and thats what got the ball rolling). Also, I was pressed for time so didn't have the time to send my heads somewhere else that might be cheaper. So, since I already ordered the PRC cam kit anyway, adding their 5.3 heads only cost me $940 more and I sold my stock heads for $400, so it only cost me $540 total vs having mine ported for $1500. Also, it seemed like it would be a nice street combo which is what I wanted. I don't even go to the track.

Sounds like it worked out very well for you how it all fell into place. I'm wondering how well these heads would work with the stock 01' LS6 cam since the heads are relatively easy to swap and the net cost is very low (after selling the stock heads). Hmmm...Matt? John?
