i have this cam with afr225's milled to 59cc...with all the other goodies. I have a ls6 intake which i think i pulling vacuum also and i have 36# injectors. I had to put a fuel pump in because i was loosing pressure with the stock one, i also had a 3600edge and it wasnt enough for my A4 with 3.42's. I have been taking it to the track and my tuner is working on it when im there but it still needs some work. I think a dyno tune would help. Bumped up to a 4400 converter and started spinning about 30' out only getting down to a 1.74 60' time. The crappy nitto drag radials dont stick very well even at 12" wide. Im still searching every day for more info on this cam, a 5000edge is going in in a few weeks im shifting at 6800, best times at 7.76 at 89mph in the 1/8th... i know it has alot more in it, i hope.

This seems like a great thread for info on the Raptor cam so maybe ThunderRacing can chime in here. I have a daily driven 91 Z28 with a 2002 SS LS1, LS6 intake manifold. 1 7/8 Longtubes with 3 inch exhaust into a 2 chamber FLowmaster. I am going to run the Raptor Cam. What are the best heads to use to complement this cam?
I would also recommend putting some ARP rod bolts in the bottom end. This will allow you to spin up to 7200 RPM's with no issues. It still makes power in that range.
Personally I would get my hands on a FAST 90 or 92mm Intake. This cam needs all the air you can throw at it and a 102mm isn't going to help so stay with a 90/92mm.
Hope this helps but if you have any further questions feel free to email me

The FAST 90 intake and Nick Williams TB as soon as I get back from deployment which will be in the next month or so. I know it will give significant power gains. I'm hoping for around 30-40 whp. That is based off of other builds and their gains with similar set-ups.

Just to keep this alive...
I will be doing the TFS/TEA ported 215s, the RapTR cam, 37lb injectors, and the rest of the usual heads/cam swap stuff including ARP rod bolts. For now i will be running a ls6 intake until I can afford the FAST or find a nice used 90/90 setup.
I will post numbers as soon as its all together!

The new hottness is:
405ci LQ4 w/ Eagle crank, H beam rods
Diamond nitrous pistons w/ valve reliefs and D shape dish
Thunder Racing Custom cam 247/253 .638 113LSA
Fast 90, Edelbrock 90mm TB
243 Heads
Just got it running last week and still need to do a fuel system and other odds and ends. I'm heading to West Point Military Academy for a few months for the Army to train some future officers. When I return It will be on the dyno to get some numbers for eveyone! Stay tuned

Granted, I was stock internal, but I knocked 3 tenths off my 330' time going from a 4.10 to a 4.30. Unless you do tons of highway driving, I think I'd at least consider deeper than 4.30. Even then, 2300rpm @ 80mph is easy to live with.
BTW, I've got a cam very similar to the Raptr (236/242 .630 111LSA) going in my fresh LS1 build this winter. AI 243's, Fast 102, I expect it to run quite well.

I was stock internal though...and yes, I'm worried about running out of gear too with my new engine. That's what a taller tire is for!
