Lets just remember that this car is set up for the track. Take away the 3.73 gears and everyone would be calling bs on the dyno numbers because it didn't lay down a low enough et. It like comparing apples to oranges in here sometimes. Cars that are set up for the street and to go fast vs quick everyone cries foul, bs dyno numbers etc etc, and cars setup for the track will never see 200 mph.

Not aimed at the OP, awesome job and great track numbers for a car set up for the track !!!!!!

^I definitely see where you're coming from, but I personally look at MPH when viewing a vehicle's track numbers vs their dyno numbers. I think alot of people do this, but it's definitely lost on some.

I appreciate the comment. It just irks me a bit when people dog LG and call bs on my dyno numbers because my old 346 that made 490/445 to the wheels didn't trap 127+ and et 11.2 or something. Give me some QA1's and set of 3.90's or 4.10's with some sticky *** tires and one more thing.......a budget to replace **** when it gets broke because I am trying to validate my dyno numbers by running an acceptable track time for my alleged dyno numbers. LOL rant over. I thought when my 346 buried the speedo and was lasered at 203.xxx mph was enough to justify how much power she made. Hell its a street car for going FAST, not a track car for going quick !!

Ok rant is really over now.

On the subject of the 383 a4 3.73 geared monster, she is a solid track performer and really did a lot better then I thought it would. I am jealous as hell.

CR is 11.88 and runs on pump gas! The bottom end has actually been together for 2+ years and ran 10.58@127.2 on last setup(Ported Dart heads,11.1 CR,243\250-114 with PI3200 converter)dynoed 467rwhp.

In my opinion this car is not a track only car YET The customer is getting ready to swap in 4.10's and install QA1's which will help alot on the 60'. I don't think we will get 9.9x but 10.0x is very possible

Sorry to sound negative in your thread, not intentional. You did one hell of a job on the car. I am very envious of the times. I was just trying to illustrate that some people look past how a car is setup, geared, and intended purpose and forget that those factors have a lot to do with how she does at the track. Dyno numbers suggest results but suspension, traction, gearing and driver ultimately determine the results.

Anyways not to hijack you thread anymore, great job and I'd bet a couple bucks that she hits a 9.9xx with an amazing 60 foot.

What will 3rd gear be good for with 4.10's ???

Those are some very nice results. Do you have any pictures of the heads? Does Larry have his own CNC program for the All Pros or did they come that way with some work done afterwards?

The heads came CNC'd from All-Pro and we installed them. Then we took them off the car and over to Larry's for some touch up work(by hand) and saw a 30 rwhp gain.

Those are some nice gains. That's a large runner head then. I think their drag port is 250ish CCs and their other CNC is 244cc. What size valves do you have in there with the small bore?

Sounds like Larry knows his stuff. A question on the 30 rwhp, that was at peak ? How much power was gained across the board ?? Just wondering.
