Calm down, I made 400rw once on a MD though a T56. I flipped out because I was expecting close to 445. Needless to say, I swaped to a Turbo 400 and probibly would have dyno'd close to 360/370. took it to the track and went 11.35 @ 119. PS my car is a pig, just shy of 3500# with me in it. So take those numbers with a grain of salt.

I agree. I've had a car pick up 6mph in the 1/4 (corrected for DA) with no changes other than ditching the fuddle converter. They tend to 60' pretty well but kill tons of power up top.

What was the difference on dyno and 1320 with the new verter?

The guy who tunes the car is awsome. he had done all my work. I trap near 130mph on this new motor and on the stock ci's I was over 122mph at lapeer dragway. I have seen several cars with patroit heads and from what I have witnessed none of them ran wort a sh*t. Not saying they cant,I just have never seen it when I been there to watch. I gained 47hp loosing a stock type ported ls1 head going to the AFR 205head. I have the before and after on the same dyno you are on at vector. I also went from 11.9 to 11.3 in the 1/4mi. Then I got the 346ci running 11.1 at near 123mph at 3,700lbs at lapeer. I have had no issues with how my car has ever drove when kirk has tuned it. I have ran cams in the 250+ dur and it has ran and drove great. I don't know steve but at a shop the customer should have the say so on who tunes it. I will be going for another tune as soon as the FAST comes out for the l92 heads.

I'd have to disagree with the Patriot heads don't perform. I have a set of Stage 2 64cc Partriots running a TSP Torquer 3 cam, Un-ported FAST 90/90, with full bolt on's. My stock 4L60e w/ an SMi 4k stall, stock 10 bolt w/ 3.23s on bone stock suspension ran 11.45 @ 122 w/ a 1.60 in full street trim minus the back seat, spare tire and jack on a set for chrome GM zr1's w/ 275 ET streets in the rear. My car put down 443 rwhp w/ 418 rwtq. If you ask me i would say it's a combination of the stall and tune. I don't know how well your plugs and wires look but it would also be worth it doing a tune up on the car if it hasn't seen it in awhile. I was trapping 110-112 at first couldn't figure it out so I pulled the plugs and they seen better days. I put on some new NGK's, MSD wires, and a new fuel filter and picked up over 10mph on the trap. However I did take my car back to have the tune checked and it went from 438 rw to the 443 I have now. Just food for thought.

Patriot heads in general will perform quite well, but the large 68-70cc combustion chambers on those heads are killing your compression. I guarentee with a 59cc milled cnc'd ls6 head you would pick up a bare minimum of 15 RWHP/15RWTQ and a ton more responsiveness all throughout the rpm range. Also I believe that gunner back in 04 when he was selling those heads stated they had an intake runner size of 237- 240 cc's which combined with lack of compression is really killing the performance of your vehicle

I would agree the MPH seem low. I had a patriot stage II head with TR 224/224, stock LS6 intake and Yank 3200 TC. I made around 381/376 on the dyno. I ran at the KYHorsepower shoot out and ran consistently 12.4x @ 111 - 113 @ 3720# with me in it. I think you should be trapping slightly faster than my car at the time. Is the cam dot to dot or degreed? Do you have a graph? I will see if I can dig up an old graph to compare. This is the only crappy dyno pic I could find on my car domain page.

When I switched to an AFR head I never got a new dyno but my 1/8th went from 8.0 - 8.1 89mph to 7.8 @ 91 in hotter weather.

My car has gone pretty good with Patriots, I keep breaking **** though.. I still cant shift my trans fast at all, or it doesnt stay in gear, and I went 11.04 @ 125.68.... On stage 1 patriots and a torquer II, did I mention my setup is for sale.... They did me well, but Im hunting for low 10's on stock ci this year....

IMO, its because it is a 1998. When I had mine I ran a 222/224 cam with ported 241's and it put down 330whp! It had a fuddle 3400. I also had one of the best tuners that you can get. It is something to do with that PCM. No matter what the tuner does, that PCM will continue to F*** up.

JPAJKOS-My car went 346ci 11.15@123mph street trim with slicks. I still have everything in my car, leather seats,15lbs of nos bottle in the rear too. 3,700lbs with me. 460hp. Ran 10.27 on the bottle. 12 bolt and a steel driveshaft too. Patroits can't compete with the velocity of the AFR TFS heads. You get what you pay for.

It's the converter, swap it out and your mph will come up.

Good numbers and times, I went 11.45 @ 122 with my current setup. Of course when comparing TFS and AFR's to Patriots your obviously going to get better gains. My setup put down 443 and when I ran my time I was full street trim with heavy *** chrome ZR1s minus the back seat. I know for a fact my converter is holding me back alittle bit as well as my stock 4L and stock 10 bolt w/ 3.23s. For the money Patriots are pretty decent if you don't have 2500 bucks to dump on some heads.
