Agreed.

I have to say, the 853 heads and 224 cam graph is AWESOME. That is a FAT power band and even better yet, I'll bet that was done with an LS6 intake, huh?

Bosh SVO 42 lbs/hr, they are decently priced, although SVO 30lbs will work as well, but just in case you'll grow in the future, I would get the 42s straight away.

X2. When I first read your mod list I was expecting a A4 with a big converter. What was the problem again? I know you can't compare all setups because every car is different, but... Someone I just pm'd has Livernois stage II heads with stock sized valves and a 232/232 cam made 440 with the LS6 intake. BTW, TSP is usually pretty consistent. I've seen a lot of LS6 2.5 setups with their TV3, T2, 231/237 make around 430 consistently. Good luck brotha.

As mentioned by Doug, a ported Fast setup would help if funds allow. I don't blame him for mentioning Vengeance. There are a lot of combos with their intakes with stellar results as well as other sponsors. (TSP, Rapid Motorsports, Futral, Speed Inc, Vengeance, TR, etc) FYI, my 90/90 was ported by Thunder Racing. I haven't seen too many from them but we'll see how it turns out in a few days. Maybe that can help you make a decision if your willing to sell your LS6 intake and put that money towards the Fast.

Sorry for the long post! lol

Correct, LS6 intake. I tuned the car and it's one of the ones I've been most impressed with so far out of all the LS1's we've done! Especially considering this was thru a 9".

"stage" 2.5 LS6 heads and a mid sized cam like that making 430whp consistently is definitely not what I'd expect. I wouldn't call that "good" either. I mean, FFS BOOSTEDTA posted a graph of a car with TEA ported 853's and a small 224 cam making 440/411 with a BROAD power band. Aren't 243/799's supposed to be superior, especially a head with "stage" 2.5 "work"?

A fast intake is not going to just magically unlock 30-40whp. There's something else wrong with his setup.

My numbers in sig are with stg 2.5 5.3 heads + TR224/224 @ 114. I think something is awry as well. Tuner is very reputable as my buddies c5zo6 put down 43X right after me with stock heads and a PatG cam. I will be pulling the cam down the road for a bigger one down the road.

Just a hint, its not your cam. People make those numbers with just the TR224. Bigger is not always better.

I know it's not. I figure I want a bigger cam anyway and I would just replace the entire valvetrain and lifters (on the car when purchased)

Here is my graph btw - shortly after this pull my clutch let go and my plugs were shot so who knows

I have to agree, those are not exceptional #'s. Hopefully the FAST along with the rest of the nick nacks will round things out.

My car with stock 243 heads and a 233/239 cam made 430/405.. So i would think your numbers should be in the 430-440 range
