SDPC dyno results for LSXR
We finally got a chance to get back to back dyno results of the FAST LSXR intake vs the stock LS7 intake and the results were impressive.
Our test car is a 2008 Z06 running the stock tune. These results are on 100% stock tuning. The base dyno mods are
-Kooks 1 7/8 headers
-Kooks catted x-pipe
-Halltech KillerBee with shroud
-B&B Z06 Fusion exhaust
447rwhp and 429rwtq
Changing nothing but the stock intake to the FAST LSXR the new numbers were 468rwhp and 452rwtq
That's 21hp and 23tq at the wheels with no tuning. Note the low starting rpm of the dyno to try to capture any low end loss and when the gains come on. We were impressed with the lack of loss on the low end and how soon the results showed up and carried through to redline.

I realize it is untuned but those look like stock numbers on a lot of c6z's that have hit the dynos. I thought the headers added a lot more, but then again I am sure the tuning has something to do with it.
BTW, thanks for showing the back to back untuned comparisons. Now tune that sucker and lets see how much more she picks up !!! Great job !

Doug I've ran a couple of C6 ZO6 on the dyno stock the A/F Ratio is around mid low 11s after the mods this one posted above is low 11 and after 4500rpm went very very rich after the tune I'm sure 490+rwhp shouldnt be a problem,
Scoggin Dickey Thanks a lot for the comparisons looks like good gains untuned

Come on now, you've been here long enough to not be a dyno racer. Don't focus on the peak HP numbers. They don't mean crap! You can't compare dyno results between two different dyno shops. What matters is the before/after gain, the relative change, on the SAME dyno. A dyno is a tuning tool, not a stupid bragging rights peak HP machine.

I do realize that the dyno is just tool. That's what I had to tell myself when my car was dyno'd one place and then baselined at Vengeance. Had to base my gains on the new baseline. Can't compare dynos either, you are correct.

It's now tuned. I don't have the graph on hand so I haven't posted yet, but it made 49x rwhp tuned.
