We just finished up and new heads and cam combination and thought we'd take a moment to post it up for everyone.
It's a new approach.
This setup is not for everyone. We should be hitting the track with it soon.
The car is a Trans-Am with a manual transmission. The heads are in-house modified TFS, the camshaft is our own 4-XS camshaft.
And the bottom end is still a stock 346....we know it's pushing it.
The customer wanted to remain anonymous for now, I'm sure he'll poke his head in here soon though.
Enjoy.

k...So I'm very interested in this set! I though bout going 383 or 402 but I only have 70,000 on my 98 short block with katech rod bolts so I'm not afraid to spin it..Anyways I have an A4 with a 5c converter and 3:73 gears so I would imagine I could run this big cam..
Can you shoot me a price for the heads and cam for this set up?
Also did this start out as the "as cast head" or the cnc 215

That's quite the potent little motor.
Nope, 93 octane pump gas, I was there when they poured it in.
It's a slightly higher compression than stock (milled heads etc.) but the pistons (and rods, and crank etc.) are the very same ones that came with the 346 from the factory.

It still a 346 (345.7 to be exact) actually, the '347' designation is usually reserved only for blocks that have been honed/bored out a little bit for a forged piston.
That may be true, they too have put out some serious dyno numbers in the past.
But thanks for adding that not entirely relevant information though.
