Isnt the graph topping at 7200?...Its really falling at 7500, I dont think 7700 is a necessary on this setup.

I don't know for sure but I hear that it's somewhere between a 220/220 and a 280/280 and yes it is higher than .550/.550

It's a new approach.

This setup is not for everyone. We should be hitting the track with it soon.

The car is a Trans-Am with a manual transmission. The heads are in-house modified TFS, the camshaft is our own 4-XS camshaft.

And the bottom end is still a stock 346....we know it's pushing it.

The customer wanted to remain anonymous for now, I'm sure he'll poke his head in here soon though.

Enjoy.

k...So I'm very interested in this set! I though bout going 383 or 402 but I only have 70,000 on my 98 short block with katech rod bolts so I'm not afraid to spin it..Anyways I have an A4 with a 5c converter and 3:73 gears so I would imagine I could run this big cam..

Can you shoot me a price for the heads and cam for this set up?

Also did this start out as the "as cast head" or the cnc 215

Nope, 93 octane pump gas, I was there when they poured it in.
It's a slightly higher compression than stock (milled heads etc.) but the pistons (and rods, and crank etc.) are the very same ones that came with the 346 from the factory.
LG Motorsports a few years ago got 535rwhp out of their AFR 225/G5XX combo in a stock bottom 346ci 6spd C5.

I am pretty sure that was a built 347, but I could be wrong...

And I don't remember anyone saying this was the highest HP H/C setup...

What intake was used on this setup? Very strong numbers for sure, nice work.

It still a 346 (345.7 to be exact) actually, the '347' designation is usually reserved only for blocks that have been honed/bored out a little bit for a forged piston.

That may be true, they too have put out some serious dyno numbers in the past.
But thanks for adding that not entirely relevant information though.

It wasn't built, it was a stock bottom 346ci...Hopefully Lou can chime in on how long it lasted.

you still wont spin a 98 long block that high...the oil gallies in the block are too small to get the oil back down.....mine lived along time turning it to 6700....the day i started shifting past 7grand it sucked the pan dry and trashed my bottom end.....and i had a fresh bottom end with arp rod bolts and ported shimmed ls6 pump....the blocks were revised in 99......
