I think there is a lil work still to be had on my tune.. but here are all the numbers..

mods
ls1 stock short block (fresh with only 2000miles on it) with arp rod and main bolts
patriot stage 3 5.3L heads
vodoo 228 duration .567" lift cam

12 bolt rear end with 4.10 gears and a locker
SLP LID and descreened MAF

this is with a t56 6 speed car of course, with 275/40zr17 tires on the rear.

future mods will be in near future:
LS6 intake and ported TB
125hp nitrous wet kit

dyno numbers are below.. if i can scan the sheet i will, on a mustang dyno so numbers are at rear wheels on a 4th gear pull.

max power 397.7hp at 5100 rpm
max torque 430.76ft/lbs at 4600rpm

rpm- hp/A-F/torque
2500- 41.75/14.54/87.01

4800- 385.7/12.9/421.97
4900- 387.9/12.94/415.80
5000- 394.2/12.99/414.02

5500- 385.7/13.07/368.36
5600- 368.6/13.13/345.68
5700- 219.0/13.38/201.73

thats where we stopped it for now. the timing ended up being 4 degrees retarded also. the cam builds power to 6700rpm or supposed too but we were falling off quickly so we figured the ls1 intake was killing us so we quit till we get a good intake..
any thoughts?? or even guesses what will happen once we get the ported tb and ls6 intake on it??

That's a stout combo, especially the torque being over 400 @ 3000rpm, considering you're still on the stock ls1 intake, running a 12 bolt, and it was on a mustang dyno.

Have you ran that setup @ the track?

went to the track after tuuning above, and 3 days later i was doing this at the track..

r/t- .671 (sucks i know but i havent raced in ages)
60'- 1.963
300'- 5.346
1/8- 8.104
mph- 88.66
1000'- 10.425
1/4- 12.365
mph- 117.11

this was ran on regular goodyear street tires. nothing special at all (i never hooked at all 1-2-3-4 gears i spun on) im shocked i got below a 2.0 60' time but once i got above 3500 rpm it spun in every gear) I think this car has a lot of improvements what do you guys think with the dyno above and this time sheet here (this was the best time of the night also)

what kind of numbers do you guys think will be had when i do the ls6 intake? also since the cam supposed to make power to 6700 will it be doing so once i put the ls6 intake on? cause it drops off good after 5200 rpm now.. ls1 intake to blame??

and finally does the 5.3L heads kill my performance too? should i look for a set of ls6 heads and sell my 5.3L's??

also do you think the motor will handle a 100-125hp wet shot?? if so any guesses on et's if im able to hook up?? on and off the bottle??

id love to be around 440whp on the motor alone, with torque around the same if not higher.. but i dunno if i can with my combo safely without a power adder..

Good numbers with a 12 bolt rear, and the tq. looks good.

get some suspension under it, some mickey t's and you could be in the 6's with the bottle.

Intake is hurting high rpm power.

good numbers on a mustang dyno though!

Yeah I have coil overs, torque bars and I just put on mt street radials.. I'm hoping that I will crack some good 11second passes on just the motor n deep 11's on spray..

Glad to know my hp n tq will go for longer with a ls6 intake, I was sure the ls1 was killing it quickly.. Hell I may see even higher numbers with the ls6??

Oh yeah.. The bottle will definitely put you in the 10's. Nice numbers out of that combo!

Leave the 5.3s on, the torque number is insane, so there's nothing wrong with those heads! Get a FAST or even an LS6 intake and see how much more power you net. Got any vids of it?
