Default HKE LS3 427, TFS 235's w/ track times

HKE LS3 427
Callies and Wiseco internals.
HKE custom Cam 24x/25x 113
ATI super damper (10% ud)
EWP
TFS 235’s
Ported 90 MM FAST
NW 90 TB
QTP 1 7/8’s with HVMC’s
QTP Y pipe/ORP
Magnaflow Muffler
FLT Level 7 4L60e
Circle D 230mm multi disc 4500 stall
Moser 12 bolt with 3.73’s
Denny’s Nitrous DS

Compression is about 11.2:1

This is my girlfriends car, a 2002 Z/28

Took it to the track last Saturday and getting traction was a big problem. We were trying to hook on a 26’ slick with no luck at all. The last run was made with 11 psi in the slick. The S/A Hal's were set on 7 and the torque arm was at neg 2. Stock sway bar.

Race weight is 3690.

The three best runs of the day …

11.041@ 127.989 1.650 60’ 1/8 mph 99.808
11.097@ 127.256 1.645 60' 1/8 mph 99.199
11.098@ 127.505 1.666 60' 1/8 mph 99.447

Nice build, great runs...get it to hook and get the 60's down and you will be in the 10's.

Not sure what the rest of your suspension consists of in the rear, but if it has any sort of rubber or poly still in the car -2 pinion angle is not near enough. You need to add 2 more to that so that with the flex of those bushings it will be more like -2 would be on solid rod ends where there is no flex or movement. Hope that helps you.

The lca's have poly bushings as does the rod ends and sway bar bushings.

Thanks!

Update: New track times...
Again, this is my GF's car

10.797@128.996 1.48 60' 1/8th mph 100.464

We got some gremlins worked out and we actually hooked on a 275 50 15 MT drag radial...

She also had one 129.2 mph time slip which was a 10.833 on a 1.53 60' 100.719 mph half track.

Nice power. The top end pull must be cool. Its alittle soft on the low end. The trap speed should have you in the mid 10's. I bet its a blast to drive on the street.

Congratulations on the Dyno Numbers as well as the track times. That thing is moving out with it's weight at 3700lbs...
Another SOLID build by HKE!!!
Sounds like a Lucky Girl You Have There.
My GF wants my 403 Stroker in her car (2002 6 Speed Z28) and wants me to build a 427 this year for my 98 Z28!...
Oh Darn, 427 here I come lol
Good Job with the car!

I am running a similar cam in my 403 and it drives great. (daily driveable IMO) I had a few issues with it at idle, but alot of tuning took care of that and now it's great! *My specs are 248/254 .615"/.623" 110 LSA

Sorry If I Hi-Jacked the Thread a little!!!
