2007 C6 Z06 Results - PRC CNC'd LS7 Heads
We finished up a customer's car recently, and I'm just getting a few free moments to post the results. This VERY clean Z06 came in stock, and left with a stronger short-block and a bit more power
MODS:
*Diamond -3.84cc Flat-top Pistons for use with stock crank and rods
*PRC CNC'd LS7 Heads - Milled .020" and used GM MLS Head Gaskets to keep compression down
*Texas Speed LS7R Camshaft
*Kooks 1 7/8" Headers and Off-Road X - Stock Axle Back
*Halltech Killer Bee Induction and Beehive Shroud
*FAST 102mm LSxR Intake Manifold
We kept the lower compression and a fairly conservative tune since the car is going to live in deep South Texas in the heat and will be doing highway blasts with Vipers and Supras (spray to come later)! With the nasty weather a couple weeks ago, he wasn't able to stay on the cruise control or even at decent highway speeds the entire trip....but he still pulled down 23mpg

It is nice to see that you actually spun it up to 7200rpm or so and it still makes good power up there!
How much do you think the 102LSXR intake is helping vs. a ported LS7?

We've got alot of testing and development going on right now on a larger 285ish intake port for the larger cubes combos and tall deck combos that'll be getting more attention and popularity soon with the release of the GM LSx tall deck block More on those later!

Thanks to the guys at Texas Speed for building this car. It is amazing. Coming from the Viper world I really never thought too much about Vette's but after driving the car 10 plus hours in snow and rain back to my house, I was still not ready to get out of it. Simply stated, it's the most comfortable car I have ever had.
I have not yet sprayed the car. I am still debating this but there is a possibility I will be putting a 150 shot in it this summer. Just waiting for someone to finally out run me and give me a reason to have an excuse to have to spend more money on it.
The dyno results posted above were before there were any real miles put on the fresh motor build. I plan on putting the car back on a dyno here in south Texas sometime later this spring to see what it is making down here.
I would recommend Texas Speed to anyone that is looking for a quality, no nonsense build. I was told a specific date to make my flight plans to arrive and pick up the car and the guys put in the extra time to make sure it was ready for deliver that exact day.
I really appreciate all your hard work and am enjoying the hell out of the car.
Here is a short idle vid of the car:
