What confuses me is not only do FMS put out FAST cars, but the dyno #'s run the times they are suppose too. I have not seen a full FMS car not post GREAT #'s and times. Customer service is great and even better now that Candy has taken over the office The prices at FMS are great and they will bend over backwards to make you happy. I was thinking the other day about who has the highest dyno'ing, 346, below 400ci and above 400ci setups. Whether Solid Roller or not no one else has accomplished the same feats. What also kills me is it has taken this long for people to realize all of this. In the past when people talked about fast cars FMS was rarely mentioned even though they had the faster cars. That goes to show you the dog that barks the loudest usually gets peoples attention. I mentioned to Allan a while back he needs to stop being shy and show the world more of what he can do. FMS has a top notch program and they will build whatever you ask for.

Impressive power for a 346 but I don't believe it is very streetable with such a large camshaft...
Fast forward 15 years later we now get 500rwhp easy from ls3's that run well on the street and we get over 600rwhp on NA ls7's.

Futral Motorsports is one of those fantastic shops in at the start of the LS making awesome horsepower and quality. I'm glad Futral is still with LS1Tech

I'm dated - I remember when this thread was new in 2003

Prop's to Futral!

The question may become why aren't the Super-strokers making the same rwhp as the 346's

You don't hear as much from them lately. Back in the day they were a NAME.
Edit- just went back to Futral's first post here; BANNED. Know anything behind this?
Last activity here was 2012.

I want to know about the banning too.
It's strange.

They are still in business in Louisiana, and the website claims to be a supporter of LS1tech.

No idea G, I'm pretty shocked Futral was banned.
I think the shop flooded one year due to a Hurricane but Futral recovered.

Between 2010 - 2014 I was seldom on LS1TECH

It's worth being back here now.
There is a good knowledge being passed around.
I'm curious to see if there will be any new innovations for the LS platform from the aftermarket world.
Such as a different designed head and port shape that flows 500cfm without sacrificing low and mid lift flow.
Imagine that.
It would be the most powerful head in the world.
You might be able to get 1000hp na without trying

Does it even matter? Heads like that aren't meant for low speed drivability. They're meant for max effort big cube stuff.
