Having a few economical(Ha) 1000 rwhp combos under my belt this is what I put into my 1000+rwhp combo. Motor only bill was a little over 15k. Not including fuel system, misc lines and me doing all of the labor. It could be done cheaper of course but 10k would be pushing it. On a positive note the motor already put down 608 NA before the turbos were added, so it only took 12psig of boost to put down 1076 rwhp. Dip in the graph is the tires spinning on the rollers.
Short block: $ 4000
Heads: 2500
Jesel rockers used 600
Mech roller cam/lifters 1000
Intake/t-body/big rails/hat 1200
160 lb/hr inj 600
2 76 turbos 1600
2 Tial WG/BOV 1000
Hot side 1200
Cold side 800

You are just an idiot is all, let someone who knows what they are doing do the build and you could get out for under 8K easily... Or buy used parts.

Ok. So i just started automotive school at the end of December. Today i got into a discussion with a group of guys and they start talking about big HP cars. A couple of the guys were Honda guys. I heard someone mention something about building a 1000WHP car for $10,000. I immediatly threw up the BS flag. They all looked at me like I was an idiot and were saying stuff like "1000WHP is easy to make" "$10,000 to build a car is a lot of money!" Am i wrong for calling BS on building a 1000WHP car for $10,000 or are these guys just idiots... Just wanted to see if I was in the dark and the one thats really an idiot...
I would say $20-25k with supporting mods.

sorry guys but im not posting any pics or videos of said car as we street race this car and it has a different combination for this year wich no one gets to see unless ur racing us for money!

A Honda making 1000hp of 10k that is not going to happen. 1000hp from a v8 for 10k much better change but still not probably no going to happen. If you can make 1000hp for 10k you should budget the country's spending. Here is a link to an import that make around 1500hp, so he must of did this with 15k then?

get a 454 block get a forged kit port polish heads 950 or more cfm carb and spray it till the thousand mark sounds like its simple as hell.. .... nottt....but thats 8 - ten grand there.. to make a car driveable you still need turbo 400 and a built 12 bolt ... budget friendly parts! im figuring in..and all the suspension not including wheels tires nessesary safety equipment i mean dont waste your breath on the dudes none of them probably have over 350 whp .. even there you need suspension to make a reasonble 60 ' im at nearly 2300 in just full exhaust and suspension and lil bolt ons..
