This is not as bad as i thought after reading the thread, it holds the power well to 6300rpms, the exhaust restriction could be holding a bit down, so maby whith bigger exhaust it will peak a bit higher and maby hold it a bit longer.....

i donīt know that cam, but where should that cam peak in that kind of motor... ? i donīt think itīs a 7000rpmīs cam there.

but nice setup and good luck to you finding this out.

like was said earlier, look at your valvetrain..did you measure for the proper preload?correct installed spring height, proper swipe on the valves?and you definately need to open up that exhaust to get the full potential out of it..

I don't know what spring is used on the TFS 235, but mine had a seat pressure of 165 out of the box. I have not seen a set fail yet.

See if you can unhook the y-pipe and throw some extensions on the collectors and dyno it again. If it picks way up, then you found your problem, if not then you can start really looking at the valvetrain.

Or, you can do it the other way around..haha

Either way, good luck

My buddies 416ci motor made less RWHP and Torque than that but went 10.28@132mph @ the track. Run the car first.

ok so i got the pushrods looked at and the preload which is at .050 which seems to be ok. idid find that my asp pulley was stripped and not tight anymore. it open up around the crank so bad i was able to pull it off by hand. i put the stock pulley back on and jumped on the dyno yesterday only to find out i picked up 22hp and 10ft lbs with the pulley being tight. it also pulls to around 6,600 or so before starting to drop off again. next is the exhaust so ill keep this updated as i go and hope thats most of my problem. ill post the comparison graph up asap. as of now im at 515/475.

Sorry if I missed it, but did you monitor the fuel pressure during the dyno runs? I'm assuming you have a fuel pump that can supply enough fuel. What size injectors?

went to the track 2 weeks ago and in 95* heat i ran the best of an 11.74 at 127.98 with a 1.9 60ft. im hitting the rev limiter at the end of the track so i may need to get taller tires. car wieghed in at 3580 with a half a tank of gas and no driver. consistant low 12's. 1st time ever to the track in this car and being a stick. hope to improve next time

thatīs good mph for that weight i would say, itīs pulling like a ****

the times will drop whith better 60ft and maby you can pick up a mile or two whith taller tires so the combo is working....

are you peaking higher now or?

what pulley where you talking about early this threat, the damper pulley or?

good luck

Ok so i had to re-register under a new name cause for some reason i couldnt log in and said it didnt recognize my password to my email. Anyways i got the car looked at and the retainers were pulling through the valves. Got those fixed put on a new asp ud pulley and did a custom merge collector into a true 4" cutout. The previous 3" was just a little piece of pipe attached to the section of pipe that goes over the axle and the opening was more like a 2 1/2" hole not a true 3" cutout though. Also found out that i really have 4.10's not 3.90's. So here it goes
