Default Head/cam LS1 a4 396rwhp

So i finally got my motor back together had some problems with my old one and decided to rebuild it. I went with trickflow as cast heads and a custom cam 228/236 114 and it made

396rwhp 350rwtq

I thought it would make more torque but im still very happy with the results . I cant wait to take it to the track next friday and see what she is really made of. Ill post up the dyno graph tomorrow when i figure out how and a video clip to. Oh yea that was with the cutout open going through the magnaflow catback it made 391/348

See how it performs at the track but those numbers are extremely low.

ls6 intake? what size TB? was your converter unlocked?I'm thinking about TF 220 cast heads, but maybe 243s would be good enough.someone mentioned TFS like narrow LSAs.

Yea its a ls6 intake with a ported stock throttle body. Im not worried about the numbers so much when i had bolt ons and i went to his dyno my car put down 314rwhp and 305rwtq but were i origanly had it tuned it made 332rwhp. He was happy with the numbers and the car runs very strong. The track will tell the rest of the story. Im not sure about what the tfs heads like i know that he uses them in most of his builds.

thats a pretty good gain in power for heads and cam.how is the port alignment with TFS cast heads and a fast 92 intake?

Ok.... I am starting to see a trend. Precision Industries converters seem to dyno significantly lower than other brands, especially with the torque readings. My self and a few other board members all display similar characteristics with a Vig 3200-3600 converter. Interesting.

I honestly would have expected more power through those TFS... My X1 cam only A4 with 123k and a vig 3200 dyno'd 387/35x once and 377/36x the second time.

I have noticed that the precision industries torque converters eat a lot of power as well. The track numbers should show the real power getting to the ground after the converter couples.

Plain and simple a h/c car should be well north of 400rwhp and if not over but close to 400rwtq even on a A4. I make close to 400rwtq and over 400rwhp on my A4 and thats cam only. I'd be pissed but thats just me.

Through an unlocked converter that is respectable. I say go get some track times. You'll probably run faster and quicker than those saying those numbers look low, because their cam only car made 20-30 more with a locked converter on an internet ego friendly dyno.

What's the lift on the cam if you don't mind me asking? Seems similar to the cam I run in my car.

I have a H/C/I vette with a Vig 2800 (more like a 3000) and it put down 391 unlocked with 360ish torque.
