Default Nor cal tuner/dyno...

I`m looking for a good tuner in the norcal area. I`ve searched and cant remember where i found one site where a few said nick at newtechperformance but i went there before when i had just the regular bolt ons and paid a little much (300) for about 2 hp gain lol. Didnt really notice anything driveable wise or anything. Not saying there bad by any means just trying to find something closer, like the sacramento area. I am located in the valley area by Chico so im willing to drive 100 miles, maybe a little more if swearn by them.
thanks guys.

Im editing this cause it seems like some people didnt read the title correct, sorry...

im looking for ls1 tuners in( NOR CAL ) not the bay area and even more south. nor cal is located in the sacramento area and north, maybe even stockton but even thats getting into the (bay area)....
but still, those of you suggesting them in the bay, thank you still, i do appricate it. i will go to newtech again possibly if i cant find a good on locally.

give my guy Mark Romans a call. He doesnt own a shop, he does it for fun, and does plenty of the cars in the Sacramento surrounding area. I swear by him and so do many others. You will not be disappointed.

916 770 0475 tell him Cameron sent you.

Oh yea, would never let anyone else touch it. A great friend of mine and wouldnt be where we are without his tuning. 10.90's on stock heads and 9.70's on a small shot kinda speaks for it self. lol

Haven't heard that very many times at all. Everybody has their opinions though. Everybody I know has been very satisfied.

You're in the valley by Chico? Where exactly? I'm in Willows. I'm picking up EFI Live but I'm not professional by any stretch of the imagination.

Your 300 was for a lot more then 2 hp brother. Thats the tuners time, use of his dynojet, and wideband. Also leaving the shop knowing your a/f ratio is safe and not running dangerously lean. Does the car drive any different then before you had it tuned ?

^^ thats what i mean, i said i didnt notice any better driveality at all.
even when i start it up when its cold it fires then goes down to 400rpm pops between 500-900 fro about 10 sec`s then finally finds the 800 marks. Happened when i forst did my swap as well. But let me say this again,im not saying i want to get a new tuner cause i think there bad, i just dont want to have to drive all that way again.

Ive had Rick @ Synergy Motorsports tune 2 of our cars with GREAT results! Not just power, but driveability was very noticable, even on an 02 WS.6 with just a lid/catback/Built T56/3.73s. Gained about 17 rwhp, and it drove great! Hes in Fremont i believe.

It is Newark (one word) CA, and I have had Rick (Synergy) tune our car and all I can say is go to either Mark Romans or Nick Newton (Newtech in Hayward,CA).

if you had any issues after the tune you could have brought it back free of charge, as for me I would go to Newtech my car has a huge cam and drives damn near perfect (244/250 109LSA) on a stock longblock..
