Nice numbers and very possible. There are plenty of cam-only LS2 cars making 460-480, so I can see almost 500 with a little better set of heads.

What do you think AFR and other companies base their castings off of?

LS6 heads can, will and have been making HUGE power for years. You're just use to seeing the Patriot/TSP "specials" that everyone runs and makes sub-par numbers with. Let's not forget that this is a H/C 6.0 with a 4.0 bore being fed by a ported 90/90 and also has an EWP, which is worth a few ponies.

OP,

Great job! Graph looks good! I'll bet she's a runner

I have never known Nick and his staff at Newtech to inflate dyno numbers..Especially for "internet street cred"

Great results..And if you arent buying the numbers im sure the owner or his son is willing to prove you wrong...Great results NEWTECH!!

It's been some busy weekends and strange weather but I can't wait to get it on the track!

I missed this the first time around. I'm glad everything worked out for you guys!

That said, I'm shocked people are surprised that we can consistently make 450+ with the GM 243. It may not win flow bench races, but fortunately the engines don't know that. They're a phenomenal option for the $ if you're looking for 450-500rwhp NA.

That cannot be true. You could be banned for saying such a thing.

This car pulls hard and feels like it has a lot of power. They put together a good combo.

It's a damn shame Phil quit answering my text messages. I've done 5-6 sets of heads the past 2 months that had to go elsewhere.

The #'s are high but believable. A.I. does great work and they know the 243 port better than most. I picked up 40rwhp with a set of stock valved ported 241's from A.I., and almost 50rwhp from a set of ported 243's on a 6.0L iron motor. They're the real deal if you're interested in racing cars, not flow benches.

Hah! Email and phone are the preferred ways to contact us. Texts often work, but are sometimes missed when we have a few dozen cryptic messages pile up at a time. If it is a weekend when we have customers running we often get inundated with txt updates & questions from the track. If I miss a text message, please give me a call or a quick email. Thanks for the support, Josh!

What compression ratio do you have? Those are some nice numbers. I guess the 243 heads aren't out for the count yet in the right hands!

Do you have any graphs you could post for your ported LS6 heads on a LS1? Also I would be interested in any results from your ported aftermarket castings. I checked your website but saw mostly results for LT1 cars.

Yep, the website is currently way out of date, and we've got quite a bit of info/pics/etc. to add as we try and find the time to work on it. Just as on the LS2's, going from as cast 243's to our CNC'd 243 tends to gain the same 4Xrwhp SAE peak w/ gains throughout the powerband. We also have a couple 3.900 bore specific programs that we'll try and get up on the site/store for you guys in the near future.

That's the highest numbers I’ve ever seen for vrx5 and ported 243's .

Well done .

I actually own this car now guys but i don't know the CR. It runs on 91 octane though so the cr can't be too high.

I'm having my 243 heads sent to these guys on Nov 1st. My car currently puts the numbers in my sig with stock 241s. I went with their 226cc full CNC program and PSI component springs. I am ONLY hoping for 435rwhp with these heads. I know that I am low balling myself but I don't want to be disapointed like I was with my FAST lol, only gaining 13rwhp. I'll post my results in this thread when they get on probably early-mid December.
