Only thing I can figure is our dyno's here in KY are stingy as hell! I've got a Walbro fuel pump and stock 28#er's maxxed out on my 98 TA, it's not running fat either, thats with 0.90 Lambda at WOT! It only makes 393hp/381tq! But heavier than stock ran 11.59@121 with a 2000ft DA! So who knows haha.

How would this setup be in a a4 camaro ? Stock 806 casting, 3600 converter 3.73 26" drag radial, 150 wet......
Works great. I've got it in a couple of A4 cars w/ 3000-3600 stalls and they roll out. It's got a 4 degree split, so of course it's going to like nitrous.

Damian, I'm gonna hook up with you this fall to do heads, cam, gears and tune etc. I am slowly buying the parts I will need. Ive got a set of 243's from an 2006 gto. Do you still recommend milling them .015 and what springs do you recommend such as Patriot Gold, 918's? Thanks, Jimmy
Jimmy, you can mill the heads up to .020 with this cam and still have clearance. I've cut as far as .030 on an LS6 head, but those heads had the sodium filled valves (lighter) and a really strong spring. I recommend running a single beehive spring with this cam. Either the 918's, PAC's, or PSI springs will work. I prefer the 918's and PSI.

There's so many variances that it's hard to say. This car went 121mph so it's definitely running the mph to reflect the HP. Your car is running unusually good for 390rwhp and heavier than stock weight. 11.50's @ 121 is quick.

Funny you mentioned about going from 26lb to 28lb injectors, I recently inquired about this and was given a bunch of flack about how that lil difference would not help, obviously it does? How does that cam sound, any vids?

Don't trust anything this Damien guy says, he's an *******. He gave my girlfriend a titty twister and tried to run me over in his kid's big wheel. Freggin psycho.

The dyno mine was on is known to read really really low numbers! My 403 with TFS235 heads only laid down 489/440 there and it's right at full weight and it has been 10.74@127 and trapped as high as 129.6 on a 10.86 pass. I just use the dyno to tune with... track numbers is what counts!

That particular car your talking about is def impressive though! 121mph trap speed out of a cam only car is stupid! Good work!

Those are great numbers for stock heads and a modest cam.

Did you degree that cam at the ground in advance, or did you retard
the cam timing at all? Just wondering as the top end peak is up high.

The answers you seek are already hidden somewhere in this thread sir.

The cam isn't peaky. The scan/picture makes it seem that way. The dyno computer printed out the dyno sheet vertically instead of horizontally for some reason, so the graph is squashed together making the curve less broad. This car will light street tires up from a 3K rpm punch in 1st and 2nd gear.

I'm sure he'll post up on it soon.
That is one hell of a MPH. Did you ever get it back to the track?

I think I might have found my cam. I have stock 241 heads, stock bottom end, M6, bbk manifold,P&p TB, Slp lid and bellow 10 bolt with 3:42 gears and 125 wet shot. Race weight is 3700lbs. How do you think this cam will act with this set up? Also adding LT in january. Thanks

Just as an FYI, Cam Motion grinds this cam on about 4 different lift variations to suit your needs. I might just know someone who is running one

had a custom ground cam I spec'd very similar to this.
228/232 110+4
Wanted something lumpy but not too big as giant cams are silly for drivers
Glad to know it was putting down decent #'s and wasn't a bust.
Those are great #'s Damian BTW as I just saw this thread....8 months later...
Gotta love those 241's

This isn't a cam motion grind. It's a comp cam, and this cam is completely different than those. ^

Yes i understand this. I read that it was on Comp's lobes. But since in however many crapload number of posts, no one has specifically said where the cam was acquired or what the full specs of it are so someone could duplicate it. I was simply offering an alternative.

And do you think its a funny coincidence that the Cam Motion cams I quoted are very, very similar in specs to the above mention Comp version?
