-Your 85mm MAF might look cute in your engine bay, but if your "tuner" hasn't scaled the MAF properly (and it appears he didn't) your fueling will be all over the place and it's doing you more harm than good. Hence the reason he's trying to command 12.8 A/F in the PCM, and it's giving you 11.5.

-Flowmaster mufflers on F-bodies flow as about as well as Obama's political views. You're easily giving up 10-15rwhp in this department alone.

Put a $35 cutout on the car to bypass the shitty muffler, change your plugs, have your tuner (if he knows how) scale your MAF properly ON THE STREET, and then tune the car ON THE STREET. Then, strap it down and make adjustments for your internet dyno #. Good luck.
Pretty much sums it up!

no no no... hi-tech didnt tune it. The original owner tuned it there in 02. I had boos tune it but went to hi-tech to use their dyno since it was the same dyno the car ran on last time. I would never have those irrogant ***' tune my car!

Whew, that was a close call.................thank god they didn't touch that thing or you might as well push it somewhere else to have them refix everything else Hi-Wreck touched!

i pulled some stuff out tonight to check the car out and heres where i am so far.

I pulled a few of the plugs and they looked good. they smelled a little like oil. Checked the intake for leaks and that was good, then checked the header gaskets for leaks and that was also good. Did a compression test in a few cylinders and that was also good. Hi-tech said i was running hot since i was at 198 at the start of the second pull but the fans kicked on at about 178 degrees so that was good too.

nothing jumped out so far, we'll see how tomorrow goes with boos

correction...

Things that stand out:
my throttle cable isnt giving me full throttle, its not touching the back by abou a 1-1 1/2 millimeters
also, all of my injectors have dirt and grease on them. they are all new and have only been in for a few weeks

I was out at boos' place today and we found a few issues.

We saw some clear issues with false knock and what not and we kept pulling timing until it went away. We decided to go get some fresh gas just in case i had bad gas for some reason. At that point we realized that we had the traction control on the entire f-ing time!!! Turned that off, and we had to add timing back to it to make it run right again.

My wonder is if hi-tech ran it on the dyno with the traction control on. I called to ask and they said it wont run on a dyno with it on. Can anyone back this up?

When we were running it at first the traction control was on and the A/F was at 11.5 which is exactly what it was on the dyno. After turning the traction off and adjusting back in the right direction we settled in at 12.7

They're right. It won't run on a dyno with traction control on. It will just keep kickin the pedal back at ya.

The most likely reason for your A/F to all of a sudden be in line, is you guys were flashing the computer, which should automatically reset the fuel trims. It won't be rich again WOT for several miles after being flashed. The long term fuel trims need some time to adjust.

Definately should be about 440rwhp with that setup, like everybody said, take it somewhere with a real good reputation to get it tuned and run the dyno without the flowmaster on for now.
