Tsunami cam PRC stage 1 LS6 heads results
Got the car back together from the winter project and dynotuned it over the weekend.
Power mods:
Tsunami cam
PRC stage 1 LS6 heads - .040 head gaskets
Pacesetter headers, 3" ORY, 3" cutout
LS6 intake and underdrive pulley
4000 stall (dyno number reducing mod)
Put down 415hp/363ftlbs
(We are not sure why it has some backward squigglyness at the top? I'm thinking it was the software, didn't seem to do it until we changed the color to print)

My power before with PRC Stage 2.5 5.3l heads with 2.04 intake valve, B1 cam (221/221) and no underdrive was 360hp so I thought this was a good improvement. I have a Fuddle converter - I believe it was locked during the runs (it slipped out the first time for some reason, but I think we got it to lock. I'm waiting to hear back from my tuner).
Could it be the dyno? We had a lot of issues trying to get it to allow a full run. The tach signal keep cutting out, keep throwing an error about the brakes being too cold or something.
How would I start diagnosing this?
Thanks,
Aaron

It could be yeah. It could also be location.........I'm in NY and when I dyno'd it was 60 degrees and cool with no humidity.

I'm in UT. DA at the time was almost 5900 ft. Uncorrected hp was 359.
I did look at a few other threads and I think you guys are right - I am low. How much is the stall eating up?
This did over 450 with very similar mods except stage 2.5 LS6 heads and no auto:

That is pretty suspect, especially the low torque number. I put up ~400ft/lbs of torque back in 2002 with hand port 853 heads and a tr224 cam in a 6speed with 3.73 gears.
The red line was when I was cam only with a 212/216 cam, and the blue line is replacing the heads and stepping up to a tr224 cam. This was with macs and a crappy 2.5" ypipe as well.

I confirmed that the converter was locked during the runs.
Maybe my car just dyno's low with mods (360 before) and/or the dyno is off?
No fly cutting needed - the setup fits. I couldn't fit a big enough cam with my other heads so I swapped to this setup.

Unless im reading this wrong, but you went from 360 with heads and cam then changed to a different set of heads and cam and dynoed at 415? Thats a 55rwhp pickup, IMO thats pretty freakin good comparing the two. Maybe the dynos are low or your car just dynos low but I think thats a pretty awesome pick up considering the parts being replaced were already aftermarket. Were both of these numbers coming from the same dyno?

Also, take that thing out to a track and run it! We all know auto's are not dyno queens, and you can see that the car is making power by how it runs. Let us know what happens.

Yep... dynojet or not, numbers mean dick if it's making the right MPH at the track.

my vette put down 391 unlocked with PRC LS6 heads and 224 cam...3000 stall and 3.42's
i dont get too caught up in the numbers...it runs strong

Generally autos are not dyno queens...beyond that I think there a some over generous and stingy dynos out there.
