There were two other ls1 camaros that ran. Both made well over 30hp/tq then me with smaller cams, and catted y pipes. Even a stock Yukon made more tq then me...

Like i said its quite obvious there is something amiss.

I'm taking to the shop tomorrow morning and Thursday I'm taking it to my tuner. I'll keep you guys posted as to what we find.

Thanks for the input and encouragement everyone...

Mustang dynos read lower than a dyno jet. Its more of a real world number. The dyno adds a load like you would see on the street or track. If you where to re dyno it on a dynojet i would be over 400 or close to it.

X2 What he said.

In my old 97 I swapped an LS1 into. I had my Patriot 225/229 .580/.590 114+4 cam, PAC1218 springs, LS6 intake, WS6 ram air box, Pacesetter LT, TSP ORY, open cutout, M6, stock gears, good LS7 clutch. I had a quick tune on mine on a Mustang Dyno do 359rwhp/346ftlb on a hot *** August day.. I was surprised that it was that low. I saw a nearly identical car on here except with stock 243s do about 425 on a Dynojet. Just understand Mustang Dynos do try to simulate a load and are a little more realistic, unfortunately most people compare Dynojet since they just read higher.

I have the same PCM and cam in this car, and I want to get the tune updated because I think I can pull out some more ponies on the same dyno.

I found the source of my issues. 2 things.

1. One of my spark plug wires was roasting on my headers.

2. My tune was off.

Between those two things, im betting for a much better result on the dyno.

Thought you guys would want to know.

ive got the same cam and couple weeks ago it put down 376hp/366tq on a dyno jet. This was done with a tune from a car that had the same mods but the cam was a 228R. I havent had any time to mess with the tune and get it dialed in for this cam. I dont think thats too bad though, hoping for 390-400 with afr dialed in and more timing.

so i would expect the same out of your setup. if you are on a mustang dyno, expect about 360-370ish once your tune is good and problems are gone.

Numbers don't mean ****. There's a member on this board, and a friend of mine who only made 346rwhp ON a 100 Shot. He ran an 11.7.... Numbers aren't anything...
My car makes 400rwhp/400rwtq, and I'm running down faster (or what should be faster) cars on the street...

The plug wire makes sense, didnt Carl tune it? Was the wire burnt when he tuned it?

your cam timing is likely off.

What I was thinking too, peak that early would be cam timing or a bunch of shop towels in the intake...

I like this sort of troubleshooting.

First of all, what was your bolt-ons numbers ? and was the bolt-ons run on the same dyno ?

Anyway if I were you I will check the following

1. Check your maf & lid filter if it is dirty or having any thing impeded the flow ( I remembered that my car did 280rwhp with a plastic peace stuck on air filter when my car has only bolt-ons )

2. Check the spark plugs & headers gaskets if there is any leak

3. Check your valvetrain and make sure about the pushrod length

4. Test your clutch for slipping .. you can find the method at the manual transmission section
