It was good to see you again at the LSFest Brian. So this is the engine that is in your white C5? My hydraulic cam N/A 427 made 645 hp and 577 tq at the flywheel and ran 9.5s in my C5. I was glad to help with advice at Bowling Green. Your car looked good going down the track but I can get you into the 9s (way into the 9s) without doing anything to the engine, and the car will remain very streetable. PM me if you are interested. I know I'm biased, but this combo is unbelievable. Due to the killer tune it idles and drives better than ever, starts easy and never dies, it's not that loud, and with my 7 year old street tires it's just crazy to drive (they have lots of tread so I can't bring myself to replace them).
I drove it 3 hours round trip to the Holley LS Fest, installed the racing tires but we never hooked up, so it only ran 10.40, but it did run as fast as 134.7 mph through the auto in almost 2000 da. If it was a stick car I think it would run over 140 mph in good air.

I totally agree, That is a killer setup!
10.40's is by no means bad for a street car either. And 134+ mph.....
Get in a little more seat time now, and learn how the car likes to leave and maybe some 9 second passes will be a normal thing to you with this new setup.
There is no reason why it wouldn't have 9's in it. Other than poor tracks, bad tires, and etc.

By popular request, cold start up and drive off video, with both windows down. Including stopping at the end of my driveway, cruise, torque converter lockup (sorry for resting the camera on the steering wheel) and WOT twice for about a half second each time blowing the tires off (what you don't see is the car tries to turn side ways both times) You'll see what I mean about not being that loud and about being docile, tuning by James Short of Shortuning! I'm glad it's doing well! I think the car has alot of meat left in it! It def makes the power to produce some really quick track numbers it's just getting all of it to the ground that's the task.
Guy's this car pulls like a monster, I've got a 403 Camaro that isn't a slouch by any means and it makes mine feel like a stock LS1 car haha.

Impressive driveability for that much power!! Simply amazing! I would love to have a setup like yours in my car someday! If you don't mind me asking, how much do those heads cost? Send me a pm if you don't want to say openly.

Well, we don't have a 1/4 mile time, but it ran within .005 seconds in the 1/8 mile of what it ran when it was a head/cam car with a 250 nitrous shot. Below is the timeslip, more info is posted at the Corvette Forum http://forums.corvetteforum.com/perf...l-sort-of.html
