what kinda lifespan do you guys expect for the valvesprings with those kind of duration/lift numbers?
how bout a ported stock headed 370? i'm running PRC stage 2.5 ls6 heads on an 11.5:1 370 with a carb...slightly tighter lsa and i bet it'd run pretty good in a setup like i got.

We're starting to get feedback from customers who've purchased this cam. I know of one who just finished a AFR225 headed 408 and made 567RWHP. The motor for the S10 is done and ready for install. I'm hoping to get some track times from a couple of guys soon.
Also, the lobe families used for this camshaft are very stable, proven designs. With a properly setup valvetrain, valvespring life should be excellent considering the nature of a build that would use a cam of this type.
Thanks for the interest.

I'm lovin' it... My old set-up only produced 435 rwhp with a Ms4, Ls6 heads (ported) and stock Ls6 intake.... I've been thinking about boost.... maybe I can re-consider, now...lol

Well then I guess I'll put it very simply. If you know what you are doing and use a quality spring, they will last indefintely. I have a .640" lift LSK lobed cam in my 05 CTS-V for 3 years and 20K+ miles with no signifigant loss of seat or open pressure on a set of Comp 921's.
Put a lesser spring or improperly setup a good spring with ANY of today's lobe designs and you are asking for failure. I guess I'm just trying to be polite but most failures I read about on here can be attributed to improper spring choice or setup for a given lobe family. Lift and duration do not always tell the tale. For example this cam should be fairly easy on valvesprings compared to an XE-R lobed cam of similar duration even though lift would be less...
Another way of putting this, "If you have to ask, you probably don't need a cam this large."
Sorry for being too politically correct.

never ONCE have i implied that i want a car with no maintenance, i have a carb'd motor in a thirdgen camaro for crying out loud, lol! i was asking about valve spring life, so that if i stepped it up in the camshaft department, i might have a clue as to what i'm looking at for off-season upkeep.
