Default NEW 226/234-113 EPS cam only numbers!!!

Well, I went and got my tune yesterday and want to start by thanking Geoff for everything, and being just a top notch guy. I would also like to thank Fast Toys and WS6store for some parts for this build and each one is just great to deal with.

As for the car it was a stock 99 Z 6speed with the following mods:

FLP headers
FLP cats
SLP dual dual muffler with a cutout in the I-pipe
226/234-113 custom grind from EPS (Geoff is the MAN by the way!!!)
918 beehive springs
85mm truck MAF
98mm Fast Toys lid
Unported 92mm FAST
92mm Nick Williams Throttle Body
Stock clutch
10 bolt with 4.10s
Rest of the bottom end is stock.
391.45 RWHP 364.07Torque

Driveablity is great and I LOVE THIS CAM!!! Thanks for reading my thread and did I mention that I love with setup. I have had this car for 11 years and this is my first major mods to it. I am pumped for heads next year!!!

Pretty good numbers there, are these thru the stock heads? Got a copy of the graph so we can see?
Torque is a little low but that is some darn good HP if thru the stock 853 heads.

Numbers are at bottom of mod list

Yeah stock heads for right now. I will see if I can put the graph up tomorrow sometime. I didn't know if I could post up who tuned it because they are not sponsors. If someone wants to just PM me. Thanks for your comments, I appreciate it!!!

I guess I'll be the first to say it. Those #'s are pretty low for the mods, especially the TQ. Any decent sized cam with a FAST intake should be north of 410rwhp, especially through a 10 bolt.

I can't really say why they'd be low, as your mod list looks pretty good but who knows. Post up a graph if you can.

You got an email address and I will send it to you. I don't know how to post it up. As for the numbers, I think they are pretty good for the size cam, cats, and gears myself.

I agree with Damian the numbers seem a little low.

You can shoot me a graph and I'll look at it.

I wasn't trying to be rude or anything, so don't take offense. I was just stating the obvious. The #'s are pretty low for the mods. What I don't understand is why the TQ is so low. You should be around 380-385ft lbs at LEAST with that combo, especially through a fairly dyno friendly drivetrain. Who did the tune? Who set up the valvetrain? Was the cam degree'd?

I missed you were running a FAST combo too, dang that TQ stinks, I put the same down on my stock bolt-ons, maybe the head flow is restriciting a little, you certainly have all the right pieces. Damian post his graph if you can, curious on your input.

Looks fine to me with FLP headers with Cats.I've seen these cars vary alot on hp readings.

Makes sense then, to the op I'd like to see the graph. I bet that small cam is fun on the street I love mine.

We've had an identical custom grind as one of our "shelf cams" for a couple of years for the guys who are afraid of going too big into the 230s and want to build a really fun street driver with no low end worries. Without the graph you can't really see how well the average tq and power come out, but it's a good setup. Average power > peak numbers

Based on what I have tested here with the 853 castings, the numbers are in the ballpark. I have seen better results using the 241 or 243 castings over the 853 castings. As an example check this thread out to see what the TEA/TFS 215's and a FAST did compared to the 853 castings and an LS6 Intake: https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...med-vette.html
