Default TFS 215 heads and FAST 92 add 67 rwhp to cammed Vette

Dyno run 3 is with the 226/234 113 Cam with EPS lobes, LG Long Tubes and an LS6 Intake. Tuned by Geoff Skinner at EPS.

Car is a 1999 Corvette 6 Speed with the original stock shortblock and
heads. Engine has 108,000 miles on it. Car has the original throttle
body, stock MAF and NO underdrive pulley.

Dyno run 10 is the same combination with the only changes being the
TEA/TFS 215 Heads, FAST92, and Nick Williams 92MM TB. Still has the stock
MAF, no underdrive pulley. That's 67.7 rwhp gain from heads, intake and TB on a conservative dyno.

Hats off to TFS, FAST and EPS for some fine products.

Nice results. Is it my imagination or do cams seem to be getting smaller?

It's the trend with the more experienced crowd. Of course, the young enthusiasts will want a donkey cam maily for it's rowdy idle. They do not know that a skilled tuner could make a stock cam sound like a pro-stocker if they lower the idle speed and pull timing.

A couple of other points about this deal:

The customer bought all of these parts from me and installed them himself. The results achieved here are very indicative of what a skilled do-it-yourselfer can achieve when properly installing good parts.

The FAST Intake has NO porting of any kind. It was installed just as it came out of the box from FAST. This car doesn't have an underdrive pulley or electric waterpump or any of the other common 'squirrel mods' that can help out dyno numbers.

I have tested this combination against a couple of other cars with a couple of the more popular 'donkey dick' cams that are so popular (and the other cars also had some of the 'squirrel mods' as well as ported intakes) and this combination has better torque up until 5500 RPM and gives up VERY little up top in comparison.

It says LS6 intake on run #3.

This is surprisingly close to the plans I have for my car this summer. I can't wait to see what results I have. Now I just have to find a good tuner.....

For the record, I take full responsibility for the distribution of the pet name "donkey dick" when referring to big cams. I'm almost positive I was the first to say it on this site.

Nice work. Can't wait to get the opportunity to use some more EPS cams.

I agree. It's much better to open up the airflow with a better intake, bigger throttle body, large tube headers, killer heads, etc. than go with a big cam in old school fashion. This car is a great example that buying the right parts will get you the right results.

Nice numbers ..1 3/4 or 1 7/8 headers? and were the original heads 853's or 241's and was this with stock gears..I'm assuming with TFS heads yella terra's or some other 1.7 roller rocker was used
