402 Ls2 Stroker, 516 rwhp 488 rwtq

i think you should try throwing it on a dynojet to see if it shows you the same RPM peaks. Also, theres info out there that suggests a dynapack reads lower than dynojets. But then again theres also people out there that say they read higher. I would just dynojet it at least for the purpose of seeing if it got theright rpm peaks. Ive seen a lot of graphs that show the right numbers, but the RPM's be way off, though most of those have been on Mustang dynos.

No not really. My buddies 416ci had a lot smaller cam then that and only made 475rrwhp but went 10.24@134mph. Matter of fact his cam was smaller then mine in my 346ci and his car ran almost like stock but was fast as hell.

Stout car but re check your VT Geometry should be more power in this monster. Peak should've carried further. What length PR's were used? Sorry if I missed it.
I'm running a 239/243 .623/.623 113+3 cam, great lowend grunt, and pulls hard as hell up top. 200 mph is a mere after thought when getting dumb on the highway. Only limited by RPMS.

Damn man. Sorry to hear that. Im kinda hoping I don't break my 10 bolt though it might happen. I got my stage 2 4L60E earlier this week and I'm waiting on my LS3 427 stroker. I hope I make decent hp/tq with this monster. But im not too big on peak hp. Though this is my DD, I have another ride I can use. But still, my car is set up for normal use.

Back in the day I had an 02 Ws6, H/c w/ auto putting 390 to the wheel..
Got a decent launch and BAM took out the 10 bolts and the trans.

[QUOTE=nysbadmk8;13553001]Kiss that 10 bolt good bye.
I feel that way too. I know alot of guys that running sick wicked setups with 10 bolts still with turbos, stroker engines and or power adder combos. So there might some hope yet. I been told as long as i dont run slicks the 10 bolt should live but it's a toss up though. I be ready for it.

[QUOTE=nysbadmk8;13553651]i read this threat ++
i have too a TX giant 248/254 .615/622 on 114 lobe in my 402 setup and itīs peaking around same spot as you are 5800-5900, but itīs holding it good to about 6300-6400 rpmīs and then it start falling down, thought maby my TFS 215cc are not keeping up whith that cam and stroke at the top
my horsepower is very much the same from 5500-6300, but a huge TQ
good luck repairing your axels, hope you can try her out at the track
because dyno HP and Track times donīt allways hold hands.... like you can see on this forum

It shouldnt be peaking that early. Thats the issue... Our combos are close, I have a bit more CR and 225 TFS heads.. I highly doubt the Heads are the issue. They are Close to if not the best heads you can get for a streetable combo.

[QUOTE=nysbadmk8;13571741] so then we have the same issue whith the same combo
but i think your heads are better for the 402ci
the tfs 215cc are nearly the best for the 346ci, but whith the original valves size like mine are!!! they are on the small side for 402 i think, but people have modded them and got more out of them ..... bigger valves and bigger bore.
i opened mine up for the bigger bore to 4", but i still have the smaller valves.
the TX giant is suspose to peak around 6500 rpms but mine doesnīt want to go there is falling off after 6300-6400 rpms
Maby itīs valve floating like somebody said here.... BUT!!! i got my valve springs whith and for the cam and i did measure up my pushrods (7.7) when i thigtened them down and they are in range so i donīt know why iīm not peaking higher if not the heads......
But if you find anything odd in your combo please let me know in PM
my only goal is 10īs on the motor.....
good luck

Okay...I guess I'll add my $0.02. My 402 is an ECS build. ETP 215 heads...probably at least the same compression as your motor. I'm not sure of the cam (I think Doug would know) but I've been told I could go much bigger. It was dyno'd on their old DynoJet about 2.5 yrs. ago and made 530rwhp/510rwtq. Since that time I had a few things changed (primarily a different TB to take care of a tuning issue) and after retuning on a Mustang Dyno in the early spring of 2009 Rob Zona took the car to a track rental at Atco (I was in Florida at the time and he asked me if I would mind and I said go for it). The weather conditions were not ideal (don't know the DA, but it certainly was not "mine-shaft"). He was able to run a 10.4 at nearly 134 with a mediocre (at least for RobZ...LOL) 1.56-60' (CCW drag package with skinnies up front and Hoosier DR's out back). Considering the clutch was slipping that wasn't too bad. And I will add that the only thing he did was take out the passengers seat...otherwise, my car was full weight (including a lot of extra crap in the trunk). By the way, this was done with 93 octane gas in the tank.
I drive my car daily on the street/highway and it runs really great (thanks Ed at Virginia Speed). I continue to have some clutch issues (very perplexing) so I have really not had the car at the track...besides, since it is my daily driver right now, I can ill afford to have something break.
At the end of the day, your numbers seem to be about right and I suspect that you'd be able to get a 10.5 pass (or better) @ >132mph N/A with decent weather and a decent 60'.

Doug tuned the car, It isnt the tune.
I am most likey going to swap the cam and Rockers.

I'm sure the tune is dead on. Perhaps a different cam with different rockers will get you "about right."
