Classic, hes from SC so you should be fine.
5-liter-eater, I guess you have a 12 bolt?? I lost 9rwhp wih my Moser/4:56s over the 10 bolt with 3:73s. I guess every car is different.

Lots of ifs ands or buts guys, add a 12 bolt, he may lose 10rwhp, bring his compression up from near stock to where most of us heads/cammers run, and he'll make that right back.
Those numbers sound good. Even with a smaller cam like my 230/224 cam they'd make 440rwhp I'm sure. And heads at a price like that making that kind of power are hard to come by.

I first dynoed my car it made 389/382 tq . I added a ported tb ,asp crank pulley and went from a 10 bolt with 4.10 gears to a 12 bolt with 33 spline axels and still 4.10 gears with eaton posi. I gained 11 hp and 6 lbs tq.
I dont think the 12 bolt loses a whole lot , maybe 10 hp.

Excellent results!
Sweet TEA for everyone

According to the guys that build NASCAR engines STD is important due to the way the calculations are done for SAE. The difference in STD & SAE for my car was ~9rwhp. I think its good to look at both when possible.
Sweet TEA for everyone
