Default low l92 numbers with a 229/236???

Took my truck to the shop and dynoed 400 hp and 368 tq at the wheels with this setup:
6.0 with stock pistons, P&P L92 heads, 229/236 .624/615 TSP LS3 cam, Longtube headers, 3" y-pipe, Cold Air Intake, Vigilante 3200 triple disc stall. Something doesnt seem right here, or am i just expecting to much from this setup? I realize that with a 22-24% loss through the tranny i'd be making between 488-496 hp at the crank. or is this right where it needs to be?

more like 15-18% loss

What intake are you using?
Which 6.0? LQ4 or LQ9?
Are the heads milled?
Stock head gaskets?

Is there anyway to get a graph posted? I would also like to know the compression on the motor.

I will try to get one posted asap.
I think it is an LQ4 (2004 6.0) dont know when LQ9 came out
Stock MLS gaskets .051 compressed
70cc chambers stock, didnt asked for milling whenever i ordered the heads so i think there still at 70 right John?

It doesn't have much compression w/ that setup. You have a dished piston and a big chamber head. That would be the first place I would start looking. However, w/ the big valve on the intake, you aren't going to have a ton of room to mill w/out flycutting.

I think 20% or even a bit more loss through that stall and drivetrain and VERY feasible!

The L92 heads like as much compression as you can run AND still run 28-30 degrees of timing before KR.

As people said, probably low compression. How much spark lead are you running?

Did they ever lock the convertor up for a pull? With that stall I'm guessing 24% easy on drivetrain loss!

I took .030 off mine they came out to 62cc's

Piston above deck .010, like most LQ4's
Stock pistons are 6.7cc dish
Stock L92 head gasket .052 thickness, 4.065 bore
Stock 4.00 bore
Stock stroke
Every calculator shows 10.6:1

Here is a good calculator

here is a thread i did when i flycut the pistons on my 6.0. Get hold of spinmonster on the corvette forums. He has the tool/head setup already and rents it for $150.00 It was very easy and didnt take alot of time. Hope this helps.
