Well by the looks of some of the posts in this thread I'm not the only one that thinks these numbers are a little low.Btw I'm well aware what a locked or unlocked converter does. Do you have a problem with my sig?

Back in the day (back before all you knew what DCR was) we used to get 360ish thru unlocked stalls with a 12 bolts (we had no fast manifolds, no e-pumps available and a stock unported LS6 manifold was the sh&t). He's maybe down 10, but I know for a fact that particular verter just flat sucks up BIGG Power. I know a SS4000 would pull 10-15rwhp more at that power range and rpm (qt's 1 tenth faster). I do like the PI 3200 though and I believe it uses the number 6 pump, vice the 7 with the 3600. And I think a 4k PI still uses the 7 pump also. Now, if he had a multidisc from PI that was unlocked, he would not see much difference locked vs. unlocked (this is due to much drag of the lockup in those verters).
I know a board member on here that pulls 460 thru his 402. If we just look at that as a number (especialy compared to manual dyno queens with stock rear) then it sounds weak. Except it's got a 9inch rear, thru catted y-pipe, unlocked 4800 stall with a cheap set of 2.5 LS6 PRC heads. With it's near table top upper rpm extending to 7400 with a relatively small HYD cam. It runs 10's no problem, full weight. He will not post his pretty upper rpm dyno graph here, just because half you guys will say that it is weak...

Jimbob thats funny what you mentioned about the past because I was one of those people back at the end of 2000 that bought that new badass LS6 intake to get rid of the factory LS1 intake on my 1999 Z28 M6 along with buying Caspers o2 simulators to get rid of the cats.
Back then I had Lt's,,,no cats,,,no muffler,,,LS6 intake,,all the free mods,,,the car made 313hp 318trq with no tuning because no one was able to tune the LS1 yet.,,but anyways back in late 2000 that was alot of horsepower compared to todays times.
Also there was no drag radials back then.
Also for the OP please understand that no matter what others engines like yours may make to the wheels all dyno's are different even the flywheel dyno's..Also I no for a fact that dyno's can be manipulated to show more horsepower than what is actually being made one of the ways that it is done is by manipulating the correction factor.

Drag results
I went to the track for my first time ever drag racing! I drove an hour and a half to and from the track and raced in full street trim. I got 5 runs, and consistently trapped 118 mph.
Best Pass:

Need input on dyno results please
today i just got a dyno done on a dynojet have a formula with 243 stock heads, better ls6 cam, ported fast 78, slp headers and lm1, cold air through an a4 with stock converter and stock 3.23 have been running on a FROST tune mileage and driviability was good except idle, anyways my first dyno was 331whp and 335wtq which was the frost tune, kinda seems REALLY LOW! then the second after the tuner changed a few thing but still using the same timing as frost with was 25 0r 26 full i believe it did 349.7 whp and 350wtq than added timing and lost power so the second run was my best, converter was locked up all runs, and the weird thing was he let off the gas during the first run at 5700rpm or so then the second on the dyno graph it only went to 6k, and i rev to 6650 and he said the power had already peaked at 5700ish and didnt do any good to rev any more rpms, doesnt that sound wrong like wrong way of tuning, does this mean its not tuned for 6000rpm to 6650rpm rev limiter??????? please help! and he chenged stuff for the idle and still doesnt idle proberly, and no codes all sensors are good, just dropped $260 and 100 on gas getting there and back just wondering if those numbers seem really low

My old numbers with a 1998 A4 Z28 made 375, 378, and 387 with 359tq locked on three different dynos with LS6 intake/Fast 90 intake, Vig 3200, MTI x1, pacesetters, lid, etc
unlocked numbers were 350/360/320/330
I think those Vig just suck on the dyno and show no torque. This isn't the first Vig setup that I've seen dyno low locked and unlocked.

please help
dont my numbers sound low or the guy operating the dyno had his head up his *** or something, he was using ls1 edit to tune my car which steve williams at frost tuning said thats old as hell software and theres now way he could of locked my converter up with that software, please get back to me all the ppl in this forum really seem to know a lot and i have read a lot of things posted by the ppl in this forum and know they have some brains
