Default 368hp/355tq Sound pretty close?

Went to a Dyno Day at Rodeheavers in McClellandtown, PA on Saturday to see where my T/A was at post Cam. Here's what I have:

98 T/A A4. 3.23's with 130k.
Torquer V2 cam w/ Patriot Springs
MTI Lid
LS6 Intake
Full exhaust consisting of Long Tubes (Ebay Specials), no cats, 3" pipe to the x, then 2.5" out and over the axle and into 1-chambers.
My TQ converter and shift kit are in the basement, so all that is stock for the moment.

This is my guinea pig car that I'm letting my friend get good with his HP Tuners on, so the tune has been free so far. It seems pretty close, other than still running pig rich. I know that's killing some power. Other than that though, seems good. We haven't gotten around yet to hooking up the wide band and leaning it out, but that should help.

Anyway, here's what I got.
368 hp 355 tq uncorrected
This was on a Mustang Dyno

sounds pretty reasonable to me, especially with just a partial tune

Car looks as if it rolls out in your sig...but just a little food for thought, my buddies 98 Z28 made 353rwhp on a mustang dyno with lt's, ory, catback, ls6 intake, tb(not sure mm) and injectors. His car is a m6 car, does the auto suck up that much power?

autos with are usually 380ish but yours was on a mustang dyno and its pig rich as u say so there is a lot of potential there i would say miles may have something to do with it but as long as ur not burning ungodly amounts of oil id say thats not a factor... plus higher mileage ls1's still kick off nice dyno numbers

thats low imho. i just did a 98 formula with a 212/218 cam, bbk intake, bbk shorties, 85mm tb, stock Y and with cats and hooker exhaust. car was M6 and on a mustang dyno it dynoed 368rwhp and 395 rwtq

but it also comes down to track numbers

Seems about right, for it being an auto with 130K and a partial tune. I think that cam makes around 390-400(or more) through a six speed.

Thanks for the info guys. I can feel driving the car that there is still some untapped power. I was actually surprised that it made as much as it did. My butt-dyno must be broken because it doesn't feel like it's gained much at all since the cam swap, eventhough I know it has. Numbers were mid 320's on a Dynojet before with just the MTI and the exhaust work.

We tried to get a good 1/4 mile run on the MD, but we kept getting bad tire spin through the first two gears on the rollers. Even with a heavy dude in the hatch and another in the passenger seat. Best we could get was a 13 flat. I joked about running a 13 with two fat guys in the car being pretty good. My worn out street tires wouldn't let us do any do any better. Before the cam, my best was 12.7 at Mason Dixon. I'll get some more accurate times when I put the DR's on and go to an actual track. I'm guessing maybe 12.2-12.3 before we do the stall this winter.

All in all, I'm happy. It definitely isn't bad for a car that I have less than $7000 in total.

partial tune
auto
mustang dyno
no pulley or mention of ported tb
98 heads

and still made 370rwhp...doesn't sound low to me at all...on a dynojet he might be close to 400rwhp without even being full boltons and with the supposedly shitty 98 casting heads and not even a full accurate tune, for an automatic that is pretty damn good

All correct. Untouched auto. Uncorrected numbers on a Mustang dyno. No aftermarket pulley or ported tb. The MAF hasn't been descreened either, lol. I do still have the shitty 853's as well.

The Torquer V2 proves itself, yet again.

Only thing that sucks is one of my friends just got a 2011 GT 5.0 and he put down 359 there. It's 100% bone stock. Sad that I had to cam mine to get those kind of numbers when all he had to do was sign on the dotted line and drive the thing home. Oh well... that's the difference in 13 years tech I guess. lol

Yeah, for sure. We talked for a while and he said he'd be down for a friendly run sometime. If/when we do, there would definitely be some video. Another guy I run around with has a Racecraft. He's at 380 right now. Being a stick, when we launch, he pulls an instant 2 cars on me, then I play catch-up until we're prettywell even by 120. He won't go over that and shuts down right as I catch him. I would like to think after the stall is in, I won't be beside him the whole time. Those, being two pretty even cars, are usually fun races though.

Lol. I feel the same way in general. I just use the dyno for what it is, a comparison tool. I usually used the same guy's dyno every time to measure mine when I did something just to compare it to itself. He's all but gotten out of it because his job in the mines has gotten so busy though. I'll probably be using Rodeheavers from now on. This being the Dynamometer Results & Comparisons section though is why I'm talking about the dyno numbers. As far as track times, I haven't had time to get back yet, but it's hopefully coming soon enough.

Got a 3600 stall, Vette servo and a shift kit settin' in the basement. I can't bring myself to put any of it in until this winter though because I want to drive it while I can. There are about 4 months out of the year here that the car can't make it out of the garage anyway, so that'll be a good time to do it. I'll have the DR on when I go to the track too, so that will definitely help.

I'm hoping to be around 11.9ish once the 3600 is in there. May or may not happen though.
