Hello everyone. I've been meaning to make a thread about my car and how it did on the dyno. I installed the cam in May, got it tuned and just got to a dyno day in August.

Car made a best run of 415.08 rwhp / 384.71 rwtq

Car info:
02 6spd, stock 3.42 gears
Vengeance Racing VRX5 Cam (Big thanks to Ron!)
SLP UDP
Unported Fast 90/ NW 90
LPP 1 3/4" headers / TSP TD with sweet thunders
Monster level 3 with lightweight flywheel

Great numbers I have a friend with similer numbers but with LS6 intake & stock tb on C5 Though.

I love this cam.

With 346ci mild cam and stock heads I think the 102 is too big for it..
But I really wish someone can do before/after dyno runs.

NICE results Shiv!!!

Venom we have installed the 102mm on cam only cars using 92 and 96mm TBs with EXCELLENT results. I would expect 25rwhp from our ported version on the combo above.

I picked up a set of 799s dirt cheap that ill eventually have TEA port. I also want to go to 1 7/8" primaries next year and maybe even the Fast 102. Depends all on funds lol.

you have posted back to back dyno graphs on heads cam ls1s and only pulled 8 more rwhp going from a 92 ported to a 102 ported...

so a non ported 92 to a ported 102 on a CAM ONLY car is going to gain 25rwhp?

so the port job is worth 17rwhp on a cam only car...

please explain more i am a little stumped over here...

chrs1313, i think what Ron is saying, and i can definitely be wrong, is they took a stock ls1, threw the VRX5 cam into it, dyno'd it to get a "baseline" and then took the throttle body and intake and redyno'd it and saw 25 rwhp. just my assumption but i could still be wrong....i'd like to see more dyno's using the vrx5 cam because i'm planning to buy one.

Thats awesome Ron but I'm sure your ported version is a lot better than stock version..

What do expect from unported 102mm?

Chris, I was referring to a stock LS6 intake Vs a ported 102mm intake with a smaller diameter 92 or 96mm TB.... The comment was made that a 102 was possibly too big for a cam only application and I was stating that wasnt the case...

I have won 35 rwhp from LS1 Intake To FAST 92 ported by Vengeance.

I did a very mild port on mine and picked up over 25rwhp from a ls1 to Fast 90/90 with tune

(made 25rwhp more on drag radials with cutous closed, they were open with the ls1 and on street tires)
