Cops in your area are checking cams specs now? The only way they would know anything is if you're loud and/or not running cats with a raw fuel smell coming out of the car. If you're driving around sans cats, it really doesn't matter what cam you're running if you're looking to avoid detection.

picked up ~15rwhp/15tq from above
Cam Motion spec'd to Livernois Stage III 243's
low 230's duration with a lil less lift than you
(wondering if a newer designed lobe would help)

I assume you are not from Kalifornia, land of the smog *****. The cam was VERY choppy. This gives the officers "probable cause" to pop the hood. This can create issues if you just happen to have long tubes, no cats, nitrous, etc. So yes, it is important to keep under the radar here. Most cops only take into consideration the sound coming from the car, not the smell...

I'm well aware of the smog-naziness, thanks. I have a cammed 427CI ZO6 (113/109), cammed 385CI LT1 (108/104) and a cammed 496CI BBC (110/106), so I know a little bit about choppy cams . I do run cats on the Zedo, but as I alluded to in my first post, no cats (aside from being louder than hell) is the surest way to get a referee ticket. Most cops wouldn't know the chop of a cam, or what it signified. You could have a stock cam, LT's, !cats and a LM exhaust and still get the same ref ticket...and when they are following you, you better believe it's the smell.

This new cam is quieter at idle and wot and made more power. Different strokes for different folks.

No. I'm not worried about either I'm not sure that you realize that a perfectly tuned stock car will still stink without cats! You can smell the difference from a couple hundred feet back, and it's usually obvious who the culprit is...the kid in the f-body, or the blue-haired old lady in the Buick?

All I can say is WOW! I would have been happy seeing 490's out of that combo. Congrats on your sleeper build. I had almost forgotten about this cam until I saw this post. I remember you wanting to go for the high lift of LSK's... I guess we got the valve events right on that one . It was great working with you over the phone on this build. Let me know if you need anything else!
Thanks,
Shane

I tuned it myself. I like e85. I am getting about 1-1.5 mpg less with e85 than I did with the 91. Whole power-band feels smoother and it seems to idle quieter. You will need a lot of injector.
