All the Z06's are 6-speed unless someone did an auto swap. I think the vette drivetrain is a little more efficient than the f-bod but I don't think it's much.

I too would like to know what the compression is. Also, if we can get a torque graph as well.

Probably would be a pretty close race..... Isn't the c6z quite a bit lighter? Whats the weight difference.

A base CAM ONLY c5 (Stock ls1 heads and Stock ls1 intake) with only 420rwhp was a good race for a stock c6z06 see vid below. Multiple races...

https://ls1tech.com/forums/corvette-...ck-c6-zo6.html

The OP should be able to beat a stock c6z no prob at his power level with good driving especially since its lighter than a base c5 and has much better gearing.

As far as weight between c5z vs c6z, its pretty much about the same, maybe a few pounds here or there. Nothing to big of a difference to have much effect. There seems to be a big discrepancy in the weight of the c5z. Alot of owners actually weigh them and they are in the 30** range of course alot of that depends on how much gas is in the tank etc.. If thats the case, the c5z is actually lighter or about the same with the same amount of gas as a c6z.

Weight of c5z of owners weighing them..

TEA/TFS 215 Heads
FAST 92 Intake
Nick Williams Throttle Body
VaraRam Air Intake
LG Pro Long Tube Headers
Borla Mufflers
ASP Underdrive Pulley
EPS Tuning

Results of these modifications were that with the stock 70,000 mile 5.7L LS6 shortblock, the Z06 made 473 Rear Wheel Horsepower and 427 Rear Wheel Torque. This car drives like stock and has crazy low end torque. This is a good example of making good power 'under the curve', retaining good street manners, and having an engine that starts pulling at a very early RPM. The combination of the 226/234 Cam and the TEA/TFS 215 Heads makes for a powerful combination that is nice on the street.
Awesome!!

C5 Z06 (all Z06's for that matter) came from the factory with 6 speeds only.

There was a 99 frc c5 on here cam only with a ms4 cam and trapped 122-123. It was under the 11sec drag racing section.

Your right as far as power under the curve. Did you watch the vid i posted? The c5 didnt beat the c6z so it didnt have to trap 123+ but it gave it a really good run especially for being a 99 frc cam only even though it still lost.

Good for you Geoff I love that cam...buttloads of power all over. My friend told me some good heads like those, my car would be scary to ride in lol. For cam only it's stout.

Great results Geoff. This is Eric with the red Camaro Z28. I can't wait to get my car over to you to see what magic you can work with my engine. The car is still at the exhaust shop and hopefully will be finished by Monday or Tuesday. I will call you and let you know what day I will bring it next week.. I am going to swapp to the 42lb injectors before I drop it off so we won't have to worry about that..

just wondering how this cam is down low considering it only makes good power from 3000rpm to 6000rpm. its only making 240hp from 2000 to 3000. wouldent that be a sug down low. are any of you guy runnung this cam already and if so how is it down low.
