Default TEA LS6 Stg 2.5 heads 448RWHP/433RWTQ

This thing has massive torque, 400 RWTQ by 3500 RPM and carries it to almost 6000 RPM, the best street head yet.

This is the thread that Cammin BeaSST started last night, I don't know the complete specs of the car, but this is the new heads that we are doing with the complete hand finish.

The thread got "moved" or deleted for some reason. Here is a link to the dyno graph.

Notice to moderators, I had better get a call before this thread gets "moved"!!

I think that's the most amazing torque curve I've seen on a stock displacement 346.

Can hardly wait for my TEA LS6 2.5's to arrive!

Awesome torque, especially considering such a (relatively) small cam. Good work, Shawn

Are the cost of these heads on his site? If not, how much are they?

I don't think TEA's website has been updated yet to list these. Probably best to talk with Brian or Brent. There are several options like the NOS exhaust port, valves & hand touch ups etc.

The graph has our 5.3 Stg 1.5 numbers best dyno numbers versus these new heads.

The flow numbers are very deceptive on these heads, just like our new hand finished 5.3 heads, we are seeing quite abit more power with only 10 cfm more air. The flow numbers are as follows.

int exh
.100 69 58
.200 140 121
.300 201 184
.400 252 235
.500 287 262
.550 304 268
.600 317 272

This is the Judson Massingill (SAM) port that we shrunk .030" to accomodate the 2.05 valve. I open the port up quite abit by hand and the volume ends up at 230cc. So you can see that flow numbers are indeed not everything, they just dynoed an A4 car with our hand finished 5.3 heads that flowed 312 @ .600" and it made 480 RWTQ!! So the hand finishing seems to be making good RWHP, but alot of torque.

The cost to CNC port, change intake and exhaust seats, comp valve job, full hand finishing, milling, flowing, assy, Ferrea 2.05/1.60 valves, Comp springs, titanium retainers and cups, GM seals and locks comes to around $2199 plus core. It is alot of money, but for someone serious about making power it is reasonable.

On my personal car I removed our 5.3 Stg 1.5 heads that I made 600 RWHP and went 9.80's on and installed these and a new intake and picked up 90 RWHP ON THE SAME SHOT OF NITROUS, TNT 250. These heads are also aimed at anyone comptemplating the new LS1 racing series. We feel with the consistency of CNC porting with the hand finishing ability of myself that there is no better head at any price for a 3.900" bore engine, we also have the big brother to this head the Stg 3 aimed at the bigger engines with 4.00" and bigger bores maybe using the 6.0L head. The midlift flow of these ports on the bigger bore gets quite abit better. I hope this helps. Thank, Brian
