Default EPS 222/226 gains 50rwhp on stock 241 heads!!

I was at 345hp/354tq with the headers. I figured with the cam I'd be at 370hp or so, and wishing as high as 380hp. I never expected 395rwhp/375tq with my factory 241 heads!!

For those interested, I'm posting the graph with the overlays, showing the progression from near stock. In case you can't read my writing, it goes like this:

Runfile 1) 324h/336t cai & Corsa catback
Runfile 11) 345h/354t Kooks LTs Kooks, catted Y, CNC ported TB, tune by Ellis at Speedsecrets.
Runfile 13) 363h/347t EPS 222/226 113 before re-tuning
Runfile 17) 394h/376t After tune again by Ellis at Speedsecrets.

I am VERY happy to say the least!

Thanks again to Ellis for the great job with both the road tune and yesterday's Dyno peak. And special thanks to Cam's wife who let Cam come in on his day off to run the Dyno at Marysville Speed!!

Good gains. Sounds similar to my first EPS cam. It was pretty small, just 218/226. Gained 45rwhp (A4) and drove like stock.

After 2 months, I went much bigger...

I knew you would be in the 390's. That's awesome power. Patrick and Geoff were spot on number wise w/ my cam verses your cam. 5-8 HP difference. Not much of a difference. Congrats on the outcome and I hope to meet you this next summer!

What kind of numbers would the torquer 2 cam make in comparison to this one? Not trying to hijack, just trying to compare... They obviously have their stuff down with those cam setups!

Great numbers on stock 241 heads

I'm at 430 rwhp mark with the same cam but 115 LSA with PRC 5.3 .. but with aggressive bolt-ons ( chrs1313 ram air , FTP 104mm, TSP 100mm MAF, Ported FAST 92, TSP 1 7/8, TSP ORY ) and great tune ..

I'm gonna upgrade to electrical water pump and truck coil and post the final result .. forgot to mention it idles like stock

Very nice!!! I wish I got a good tuner like that locally.
Bene I know you have HPTuners .. PM me if you need any help ..

Drivability with this size of a cam is awesome. I've got the EPS 226/230 on a 114lsa and it drives really nice. No cam surge, idles nice and pulls like a beast at 2500 up to 6700.

It is threads like this that make me realize how bad I need to do a cam swap... What other "supporting" mod brands did you go with? (lifters, springs, rods, etc.)

Quick Reply: EPS 222/226 gains 50rwhp on stock 241 heads!!
