Last year I pulled 344/358 with lid, ported/descreened MAF, FRA, TBBP, bellows and cut-out. Torque curve was a runway fit for a 747.

I got 362 rwhp & 377 rwtq last week after installing PPC Long Tubes, and that was without a new custom tune for my Predator. I'm installing an LSX next week (?) so I am hoping to have more. And my car is an A4....

One thing is for sure, there probably aren't two dynos that show the same numbers. I'm sure there are freaks out there who go to every one near them to get the highest #'s. Not to mention operators who play tricks, you name it, they can make it happen. Like Linda Cain said. I dyno'd 348 with 224/228 581 112, Borla, lid, ls1 edit tune, slp bellows with 4.10's. I would say my #'s are low but it ran 114 on street tires. I wonder what it would have made with ls6 intake and headers with no cam.

Too true.....dyno is for show, track is for dough. But it's a good measuring tool for mods. I am aiming for 375 rwhp after the LSX. But it won't mean anything. I won't run respectable times until I swap gears, get a 3800+ stall, and some stickies. When I run 11s NA with stock internals, then I'll boast.

I started another thread about the lowest dynoing cars, and the 1 thing that seems very common is that the '99s made the least amount of power of any other year. Even in this particular thread, I don't think I saw even 1 '99 amongst this high horsepower group. What's up with that?

I'm not saying all '99s dyno low, but if you look at the amount of responses to the other thread there seems to be more '99s than any other car. I really only started the post to see where my high mileage (119k) car stood against similarly modded cars.

I know this is an ancient thread and I apologize for resurrecting it, but we've got a fella with an LSjuan over at Fullthrottlev6 claiming he's making 385rwhp with just bolt-ons. His name is Fury_786 here and on FTV6.

I waved the bullshit flag immediately, like any other sane person would. I'm still curious though, what's the highest hp bolt on car that we know of?

Just in to say that dyno numbers means nothing sometimes; I've raped some cars with high dyno numbers, its funny. And my car doesnt trap anywhere high for a H/C/I/E LS1, like just 40xrwhp. So my guess is that I beat any of those boltons car with 370rwhp like theyre never been, unless they trap more than 118 on the 1/4...

I honestly dont see a full bolt on ls1 going much over 340rwh. You guys may have some happy dynos.

Holy old thread! The only place you can make a true comparison is the track in my book. Again, there are many who solely concern themselves with dyno numbers like it's their trophy. I continue to see cam only cars showing the same and more rwhp than heads/cam cars. Very rarely do those cars ever "take it to the track". You can't fool mph unless you strip the car down. Sorry I went there, hell, I don't even have a "car" anymore.
