VRX4 w/ 243s
Hey guys, kinda late but thought I'd post up my numbers and get a little feed back from my recent head/cam swap. Cam is Vengeance Racing VRX4 with untouched LS2 243s. Also no UD pulley. Other mods in sig. Let me know what you think. Will have graph up asap but we just had a snow storm blow through so I'm doing this from my phone because the power is currently out. Dyno was the one at Vengeance.
Before cam and heads: 356HP
After cam and heads: 400HP@6200RPM
386TQ@4700RPM

Also, thinking about going to a TSP true dual setup. Would I see any gains from this? What other small things could I do to get a little more out of it? I'm going to be spending the majority of my cash for right now on suspension components however.

What kind of dyno are they running there? Looks like good numbers. But with your FAST intake, I would hope for more power. I would think that cam should pull higher? I'm not sure of Vengeance cams, but I'm positive it's one of the bigger-medium size cams, right? You also have an A4 that eats power.. As far as the exhaust goes, the only major difference you will see in changing to the TSP duals is sound. LM1 is a straight through pipe. It wouldn't be a noticeable enough gain

I dont see how your compression would be like 9:1 with 243s??? Only other thing I would change would be the stall to at least a 3200 stall. With a Fast Intake, should be making more I would think.

I was told it lowered it because they are flowing better but are untouched what so ever.
Do you think the numbers were lower because of the heat?
And it's a DD so I would like to stick with my current stall due to gas mileage

If they're untouched 243 heads then it raised your compression as mentioned. I wouldn't be too disappointed with the numbers considering its a stalled auto - get it to the track to really get an idea of how much power it's making. FWIW I would expect a manual car to make around 425-ish with this setup (including stock UD pulley).

Numbers seem low. I made 400rwh and 386tq with a smaller cam, LS6 intake and stock 241 heads. Then again you are a stalled A4 but I would think with the fast and 243 heads it would have seen more.

My compression deff went DOWN.
And if everyone thinks it should make more any suggestions? I'm thinking the same myself. As mentioned before I'm still on stock maf with an SLP lid.
It got new TR55 plugs with the swap and new comp lifters

Why are you adamant in saying your compression is lower? What testing have you done to prove so?
Stock MAF and SLP lid are 100% fine at your power level, and anywhere above it on stock bottom end.

Let me get this straight...stock bottom end with "untouched" 243 heads and a different cam...this does not equal lower compression than your stock LS1 setup it results in HIGHER compression. FYI the bottom end (pistons) and the heads are what change your compression - were they milled or not, combustion chambers worked on at all, what size head gaskets, etc.

Still wondering what could have caused the lower numbers, weither it be in my set up or in the tune. Any ideas?
